Many people have left this board or don't post anymore because some posters believe their opinion matters more than then other posters.  These "others" then get indignant about it - which turns people off.   So, many people just don't waste their time with these low-information conceited posters anymore.  Me? I happen to like this board.  It provides much information about my favorite teams from the great state of Wisconsin.

However, some of "the others'"  feel it's OK to post the talking points of the Media-Democratic Party Complex....but then crap their snowflake-panties when opposing views are put forth to counter that insanity.   Everyone sees that.  I just happen to point it out - and then "the others" all like to gang up and bloviate their righteousness because they can't win the debate.  Typical Media-Democrat Party elitists.

Please let others enjoy TimesFour without having to deal with you and the others'  tedious rantings and...stick to sports news and offer your opinion without denigrating other posters' thoughts.

I'm with you SDPF. This place is cuck central. Henry is king snowflake around here, he's basically the Janet Reno of X4...asexual and pretending like he has power. Boris has been brainwashed, don't get down brother, we're real Americans like Hulk Hogan.

I am kinda bummed over the injury but it sounds like he may be back by TC.

However, I worry that it puts him further behind. I really think that despite the talent of our new guys, I see a steep learning curve and a slow start to the season.

I don't see as steep a learning curve, Wisconsin runs a 3-4 defense as well. So I would think that Bigel has a better foundation of knowledge of the defense.

SDPF is welcome to put the posters whose views he doesn't like on ignore.

Or just use his adult brain to ignore them.

I haven't watched enough of Biegel in cOllage (which is for pussies) but there's a reason he went in the 4th round.  He damn near has a blow for blow scouting report like Martinez.  I hope he's a good rotational guy because we don't even know if the Packers have that.

I think the biggest add Biegel brings to GB early on is a pure situational edge rusher. The guy only has one gear. Full throttle. If he gets the foot right he's got enough game and motor to pile up some sacks but more importantly disrupt the pocket. 

They are different players.  

Biegel is bigger and faster and simply a better athlete not to mention he played OLB.  

Blake played ILB but is probably more technically sound (i.e. better tackler) but has to be given his measurables. 

Biegel is an inch taller, 10 pounds heavier, longer arms, more athletic , and played predominantly a different position than Martinez did in college.  Other than that they are exactly the same. 

Problem with Biegel is the same as Chris Borland-  guy has had injury issues.  When healthy he's been productive but that's not a guarantee. 

Not a bad grab in the 4th. Athletically, he probably should have gone a round earlier. Medical hurt Alex Anzalone too.

You stat nerds get too literal.  He's the same "motor" guy who was an ass whipper in college and likely topped out in college.  So I should revise the statement to part of the scouting report.

So as I'm wont to say, cool your tits.

Biegel is a football player. The foot injury he got in college is a bummer. If they can get it fixed, he will do well. He plays full speed. It isn't something you teach.

That being said, the Martinez bashing for a rookie season where he injured a knee??? **** why wasn't he all world? At least a lot thought his mom was hot.

I like Martinez.  But he is what he is.  I'm hoping he takes a jump this year.  

Like CJ said, I hope Biegel can be a boost in the rotation this year and his motor is always running.  Injuries and such.  I'm sure he'll be a good pro.  Likely better than Farkwell.  He is what he is.

I think Martinez and Ryan make a good combo on the inside, they just need to not be injured. Thomas plays ok sometimes and then gets blown up. Hopefully Jones can fill that gap when they go to the packages.

Martinez is an OK player but no difference maker.  He makes plays and is a high effort and good character guy but he's limited athletically.   That's the problem with our ILBs overall and why they should keep CMIII at ILB.   

Biegel got overshadowed because the Badgers LB group (overall) is really good and his last name is not Watt.   I think he has a chance to be a decent player at the next level perhaps as a situational guy much like how they used Perry early on.

He was hurt half the season and again, was a rookie. If he's still pedestrian during year 3 then I will agree, but it's too soon to say what he is or isn't. Vince plays a bit like Clay. Its often a bit wild, and that could make him prone to injuries and sometimes taking himself out of position and plays. But he could also be a very good player in the rotation. I guess one has to take the bad with the good. I think he seems to be a good 4th round pick but is not the pass rusher I was hoping we could find. A good "value pick". Time will tell.

All I know is I'm calling him Darwin Biegel to piss off creationists.  Wait and see if he evolves.

I actually get more of a Rob Ninkovich vibe from Biegel than I do CM3. Biegel is faster than Ninkovich, but they have a similar game. Strong edge setter, relentless motor, good technician, but not an elite athlete as a pass rusher like Clay. If he has a career like RN then I will take it.

At this point it is more important to get Vince INVOLVED rather than to see him EVOLVE.  For some players it is a long way from being put under on the operating table to standing up right the playing field.  

However, with a few more hours of surgery - and 6 million dollars - we could transform him into a bionic man.  Maybe that should be standard protocol for all draft picks.  

The biggest issue with VB is his injury history especially his wheels.   That's a big reason he went in the 4th round.  He has the physical and leadership skills to be a solid player but you can't play if you can't stay healthy. 

Time will tell.  But if it turns out he's not a fast healier, then maybe the best move might be for him to "redshirt" this year.  Get healthy, get bigger/stronger, and sit,-watch-learn the pro game this season.. 

Training camp is two months away.  What if we waited that long to see how the foot is coming?
