Not good. I was really hoping to see more of Keke and Slaton and less of Lancaster. I wonder what the deal is.... losing depth from an already very weak position just prior to the playoffs.
Iβm going to predict that he was losing his drive for the game due to concussion.
BJ Raji 2.0
Raji was in the league seven years (played only 6 due to torn biceps), was fully vested, a top-10 pick and has a ring.
Kingsley hasn't played three, was a day-three pick and is not vested. He was a starter until he hit the COVID list.
not similar players talent wise, but Raji did have a significant concussion in his last season.
When he left the game he said it was to 'put family first', but the concussion might of hastened things. Keke's concussion issues might have been part of his departure: personality wise, conflict over protocol or from a personal safety standpoint --maybe not
Keke pick up by Texans. If it were something that could keep him off the field why would the Texans claim him? Again MLF wouldn't talk.

Texans aren't playing next week.
There's zero downside to signing him. He's on a rookie contract. He doesn't make a dime if he doesn't make the roster.
Kicking the tires
New Texans DT Kingsley Keke, claimed off waivers today from Packers, was released this week following a disagreement with coaching staff about practice role, per sources, coming off concussion, COVID in recent weeks. Now, former George Ranch standout gets fresh start in hometown

You gotta figure guys with attitude issues are given plenty of warnings and encouragement to mend their ways. Good riddens.
Former Packers DL Kingsley Keke was a popular waiver target, as four teams tried to claim him: the Texans, Jets, Cowboys and 49ers.

Houston lands the 2019 5th-round pick who has one year left on his rookie deal.
We can't have more than one Kingsley Keke thread, X4???? That's it, I'm leaving.
Who will pick up Goalline on waivers?
Keke's agent was in his ear - imploring him to get more pass rush opportunities to make him some mo money. The Packers needed him as an every down grunt.
Keke wanted to stay lighter, the Packers wanted him to be heavier. Keke wanted a more visible role, the Packers needed him to take on the thankless job of eating double teams.
The agents' needs and the teams' needs diverged and Keke was caught in the middle. GB has a bunch of guys coming back and needed the roster spot, so they agreed to part ways.
Now Keke gets to see what a real clown show looks like in person.
Thanks and good luck

49ers? What a joke. Kingsley, have fun going from a winning organization to a perennial loser.
Texans waive Keke
Glad I was sitting for that revelation.
