That's what I don't really get. Barrington was just OK at ILB. Had he shut Beast Mode down in SEA, that would have been a big statement. But, he got 157. Look at the highlights and you'll see both Barrington and Perry missing quite badly on numerous occasions.

I think Barrington is an adequate ILB who has yet to show he can be a 'plus' ILB. 

But of all the other candidates, excluding Mathews, none have shown that they are ready to start in the NFL.

I do get it. Every comment I've seen here and in other forums point to the same stance. The only problem is they use last year's metrics. A bunch of players improved their size and conditioning this offseason. Carl Bradford and Nate Palmer specifically at ILB. Adding Ryan and Dantzler to that mix is great for GB, because they both have more size and speed. Also, Barrington seemed to be pressing noticeably in drill work. Pressure is on for sure. 

 

The talent we have competing there is like night & day, last year to this year.
