everything is coming together for a rematch with Seattle in the playoffs. Grant will get 200 yards and 3 TDs again. Here's to a snowy day for snow globe bowl II and for the cherry on top let's make Al Harris honorary captain.
Who else is out there? Anyone of any caliber?

I think this is a good signing. Let's see what he can get done and if he shows nothing, they can always revert back to the other choice tey have now, a practice squad guy, right? Not sure who their running back reserves are. And if I remmber right, Grant was pretty decent in the screen game wasn't he? Blitz pickup?

Will Favre come back & throw snowballs?

He's just a kid out there.

I get it. 22 (Smith's jersey number)+3 (number of teams Grant has played on)= 25 (Grant's jersey number. Some Mayan connection is buried in this).

That was the first thought that went to my head, Grant fumlbing in the playoffs.
Grant isn't in a happy place in my memories.
I don't understand anyone being upset with Grant coming back under these conditions. Yes, he caused frustration of many kinds, but he was by no imagination horrible and at times even more that serviceable. The chance that the Packers in this situation could bring in a guy who
1)most importantly knows their offense and ran it last year,
2)was not a complete bust last year (4.2 yrds/carry)
3)fresh legs (although the lack of football shape is definately a concern)
4)was pretty decent at picking up the blitz, able to run the screen and catch the ball

Man, personally, I went from depression over hearing about Starks to feeling OK when they signed Grant. I was not very happy to be depending upon basically Green for the rest of the year.
