The only thing the NFL cares about is eyes on the tube. And the only matchups that are going to change that number are the teams from the 3 large population centers- NY/LA/Chicago, each with millions who would only watch if the local team were in it. As all are eliminated, the cash producing numbers- the ratings- will  be the same 100 million people who always watch as fans of football, spectacle or gambling.

The fact of the matter is the Bucs are a good team.   They should present a decent challenge to the Packers.

But if the Packers get physical (like they did against the Rams) and don’t turn the ball over multiple times they should win.  The Saints shit the bed and gave up 21 easy points due directly to the Brees INTs and the Cook fumble.   No different than the first time the Packers and Bucs played.  The Rodgers pick 6 changed the game.

I’m glad it’s Tampa honestly. Rodgers had 2 INTs and played poorly in addition to the team playing poorly overall. He’s going to be on a mission to rectify that and thats the best case scenario for GB. I imagine Tampa is going to be in GBs face trying to disrupt timing again and jumping routes, but Rodgers will be ready this time and burn them.

Looking back at the first game; TB had three drives of over 60 yards, the same as last night, the difference was that they scored TDs on all 3 (last night all 3 resulted in FGs). In addition to the obvious 2 Ints, the following 8 GB drives resulted in a total of 4 first downs.

I think Mike Evans goes all Aaron Donald, due to the great coverage on him, by Jaire Alexander. Jaire has the guy whining all game long, because of Jaire's excellent coverage. Brady throws a couple of INTs to our Safeties, because of great coverage by our CBs and the pressure from our D Line. TBB scores late, in the game, but it's not enough to beat the Packers. Packers win 31-29.

I predicted, in  another thread, that the Packers and the Bills will face each other in the SB. I think Buffalo beats KCC, and especially so, if Mahomes is still in concussion protocol. Henne had his Flynn moment, on Sunday, and will not be able to duplicate it, against the Bills. I'm hoping all the Packers are focusing on, is the TBB game, right now. GO PACK, GO!!!

I think we will try to run a lot of inside zone right at their ILBers to neutralize their speed, they ran down anything outside the tackles in the first game.  On defense I'm not sure that Jaire will match up against Evans, they may feel that King's size would be a better match, may depend on if Antonio Brown plays ( he didn't play in second half due to knee injury).

If we’re daydreaming, why daydream a 2 point win?

Packers need to figure out a way to run the ball. If that happens everything else will fall in place.

Agree. Was interesting to see how much the Saints stuck to the run...although when you you see how much Brees arm strength has eroded, it makes sense. It's sad to watch him at this point.

Tampa is far an away the best run defense in the league. That said, the Pack has faced 6 of the top 7 run defenses this season...and faired pretty well.

Tampa has an amazing array of weapons and their defense can play hard and fast. Their biggest problem is that they've been inconsistent. Beat the mighty Packers by 28 , but lose to the Bears

It's too bad Brady was in AFC all these years. The rivalry would've been Rodgers/Brady instead of Manning/Brady

Looked to me like the Saints were running the ball just fine. Kamara was 18/85. A 4.7 clip. Hell even Ty Montgomery got 4 carries for 14 yards. They didn't have Murray yesterday.

Very seldom do you win a playoff game when your QB throws 3 INT's & 1 very nearly a pick-6.

The Bucs win because their defense is opportunistic & gets takeaways. If the Packers play their game with 0 turnovers, the Bucs have ZERO chance of winning.

Linsley will be dealing more with Suh but I'd sure love to see Jenkins knock the snot out of him.

Williams needs to keep running like a beast like he did against the Rams.  That alone will have a huge impact for Jones staying fresh and opening up the offense.

You just gotta love the guy.  I hope the Packers are able to keep him around as well.  Both he and Jones are a huge positive in the locker room as well.

Pettine and company have to be creative and find a way to pressure, get him off his spot, sack him and make life for him uncomfortable. Something that didn’t happen in the first game.

I can see the OL getting to Suh and forcing a PF out of him. Patrick or Jenkins(who's that?) especially.

I agree on Williams he was running angry Saturday night

Remember when the great majority on this site bagged on Williams....he's a good player and he's gotten better. Coaching  certainly, but no doubt he's worked his ass off to improve his body and his play. Good work Jamaaaal !!

No, I don't remember a a great majority.

Selective memory then. It was in most game threads , I recall cause I was a Jamaal fan from the beginning. "why are they giving Williams so many carries" , "we need a better #2 back" "Williams is too slow".

Right up the middle like they treated Goff.

You or me?  I'm pretty sure asking why Jones, who I think we agree is better than Williams, is merely fans pontificating on plays.

I sure the hell didn't see anyone "bagging" on Williams.  He isn't Jones, plain and simple.  He's a nice change of pace back that pairs well with Jones.  I don't think that qualifies as a "great majority bagging on Williams".

I meant me. Just remember defending Williams during game threads ... plenty of  "why are they giving Williams so many carries" , "we need a better #2 back" "Williams is too slow",

Maybe some of that was true, but most importantly, he and the coaches have made himself better. He's become a solid back and is tough as nails.

Ah, well I don't agree with those sentiments either.  He's a perfectly solid back and he produces.
