People who win in the lottery do nothing to "earn" their money either. What's your point?
GB CB Sam Shields (concussions) is expected to miss more time than today and “should be cleared to play in a few more weeks”, per source.

I've always been a big fan of Shields. His play is lacking at times, but I feel like they always seem to play better when he's in there. Some of you say he's over paid and it's hard to argue with that, but I still think he's a valuable piece of that secondary.
He's still CB#1 on this D and they clearly miss a #1 when he's out. All the slobbering over our secondary has dried up.
I'm sure he will be back after the bye along with Clay, Guion, Jones, and Burnett.
Rub some dirt on it!!
I shouldn't joke. Concussions are very serious as we have seen.
If you haven't seen it yet, watch the movie Concussion
This is fascinating. Latest on concussions by Stanford's Assistant Professor of Bioengineering David Camarillo
Science is a wonderful thing and hopefully will save football as we know it. Outstanding video.
I always wondered why they don't have a soft material on the outside of helmets.
Back to leather helmets?
Don Beebe was way ahead of his time.
It was Mark Kelso for the Bills who had that extra padding layer on his helmet.
So he's not Jewish?
That's racist:
Sam says he i s ready to go.
He also said his real name is Betty White.

It's pretty obvious to me. Rebar in the brain stem.
We'll get OmniConsumerProducts right on that
Ghost of Lambeau posted:YATittle posted:Thing is, that shoulder injury is gonna put Tom Terrific back in the driver's seat, possibly for a long time. Wasn't Don Makowski's career torpedoed by something similar?
In 1992, the Majick Man injures his ankle and Favre comes in and throws 2 TD passes to beat the Bengals. Don Majkowski never sees the field again for GB. Not like the Brady situation. Here is the history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Majkowski
This is a slightly expanded version of FANDAME comment. Besides, I probably need to up my post count anyway.
That Majik year was so entertaining. The win against the Bears. Winning at SF. A lot of thrills.
Some time after he held out, it was a game against the Cardinals. He was tackled and his shoulder took a whopper of a hit (smashed against the turf). Majik was considered a nice QB whose arm strength wasn't so hot to begin with. I am pretty sure that once that injury happened, he lacked the arm strength to be a bona fide starting quarterback.
Looks like he's listed as "out" this week.
Of course he is. MM's concussion protocol requires the players to solve Hilbert's sixteenth problem before they can play.
Shields should hang up his cleats. 2 years in a row with long recovery time.

It's a little known fact that Dom would come into work each morning and see that complex defensive coverage questions he had on his chalkboard from the night before were solved. This happened while Sam was the night janitor to make pocket cash. UDFA and all.
Might make for a great movie. It's not your fault Sam.
Who would play Dom in said movie?
JJSD....with a toupe on

Actually Hilbert is about 40 miles south of Green Bay. Just take Hyw 57 south and you go right thru town.

Unique story. I like it!

You solved it! Unfortunately, I don't think Hilbert's is one of the million dollar questions. It's Powerball for you, bro.
Here's the post from Sam Shields on Instagram. Seems to indicate he's heading for injured reserve. #Packers pic.twitter.com/Fw3NdvHjGa

Oh farts. I guess he is done.
He can return after six weeks minimum.
