Wrap this thing up fellas!

Yelich back leading off. Interesting to see if Counsell would pinch hit for him late in the game if the Fish bring in a lefty and Yelich has struggled all night.
This series will have a playoff atmosphere. Brewers clinch, Marlins move ahead of the Cubs. Hope fully Brewers take at least 2 of 3 and come home Central Champs.
The Rockies are ruining clinching day .
First squish served up by Donaldson. 2 run homer in the 2nd.
Donaldson homers. Brewers up 2-0.
Donaldson this year between the Yankees and Brewers has 13 homers in 139 ABs. He has 10 other hits all year.
Marlins on their 3rd pitcher with 1 out in the 2nd.
Nice start! Mordecai faked out the camera man!
Batted around already in the 2nd! Up 7-0, keeping up with the Badgers.
More squishes. RBI single by Contreras, RBI double by Santana, 2 RBI double by Canha, RBI single by Frelick. 7-0 Crew still batting in the 2nd.
kwes-chuhn : who scores more tonight, Brewers or Badgers ?
Well well well. Yelich with a 2 run homer. 12-0 Brewers, Marlins batting in the 2nd.

ESPN gives the Brewers a 99.6% chance of winning tonight.
Every Brewer starter has a hit, scored a run, and except for Adames has an RBI.
2nd most runs in an inning in Brewers' history.
Good stuff. I was headed towards Google after that inning.
Yelich with a 2 homer night!!! What is the world coming to?
16-0 on Yeli's 2nd HR of the night!!!

Hey Kiel, can I still predict the Brewers will clinch before the last Cubs series????

Yelich is a really good player when his back is rested. If his back holds up, it completely changes their offense in a playoff series. The question is, will it hold up ?
Sit him down for a few days leading up to the first series.
Monasterio Hit By Pitch Stallings must have thought Yelich was still in the game.

It was a 40 mile per hour curve.
Rowdy Tellez with a scoreless ninth. I didn't think I'd ever see Rowdy Tellez pitch.
ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tellez topped out at 71 MPH.
I seem to recall years ago throwing my best fastball at a carnival with a speed gun and topping out at about 70. Guess I had major league stuff.
Saw the highlights of Rowdy pitching. He actually looked better than some other former Brewers starters like Jeff Suppan.
All you resident comedians have nothing on Rowdy.
I just read that the batter Rowdy struck was on a 4-2 count. The umpire lost track of the count and the hitter actually had taken 4 balls................
As Tellez described the experience to a crowd of reporters at his locker, the pitchers around him rolled their eyes, groaned audibly and pointed out that in the signature moment -- a strikeout of Marlins right fielder Jesus SΓ‘nchez -- home-plate umpire Roberto Ortiz had lost track of the count.
Go check the video for yourself. Tellez struck out SΓ‘nchez on a 4-2 count.
Add it to the list of things that have gone right lately for the Brewers.
βWeβll have to put an asterisk next to it,β Corbin Burnes said. βIt should have been a walk.β
So B K, is it "This is the Brewers Central Division clinching line up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" or "This is the Brewers Central Division clinching line up???"
Both work! π
Gotta admit, did not think theyβd finish the regular season so stress free. Rest Yelich, set your rotation and letβs win a few playoff series!
This was the 2023 Opening Day Line up vs. Cubs.
- Christian Yelich (LF)
- Jesse Winker (DH)
- Willy Adames (SS)
- Rowdy Tellez (1B)
- William Contreras (C)
- Luis Urias (3B)
- Garrett Mitchell (CF)
- Brian Anderson (RF)
- Brice Turang (2B) Just a few changes, but big changes.
Probably not going to happen today unless the Cubs lose.
Woodruff was due for a clunker.
