it's not so much that it wasn't a sellout as max macgee's handover catch.

Let's see ...........  Some "possible" explanations:

1. He meant to post this in the "Super Bowl I Game" thread.

2. Before this the discussion was the Vikings QB/receiver situation.  So maybe the Vikings are still pissed they passed on Max Mcgee twice?

3. Maybe alluding to what was previously said, they truncated season with no fans (not a sellout) and a 2021 draft with some good receivers (Mcgee's handover catch).

That took to much brain power - I need an aspirin and a nap.

More like, some telling stats on the Packers offense in MLFs 1st year.

PA requires precise routes. If the route is clean and on time, does anyone doubt that Rodgers can't or won't make the throw?

Ted deserves criticism, especially when it comes to drafting early round players that went absolutely nowhere, but it’s impossible to ignore the amount of success he had in the draft overall. An individual draft may not look impressive, but if you look at his body of work overall it’s littered with pro bowls, all pros, and a HOFer (maybe 2 when you think about guys like Jeff Janis).

It really makes you realize just how much of a "crap shoot" the draft really is. I know I have a tendency to learn a lot about players prior to the draft, really like a lot of them, but then lose note of them when we don't draft them. Because of our "hyper-focus" on the Packers we lose sight of the fact that every team has a lot of "misses" in their drafts.

Yes, I believe they keep updated reports on every player in the league. Some have said that Belichick interviews prospects going into the draft even if he is sure he will not be in a position to draft them, just to learn more about them for future consideration if they come up in Free Agency in future years.

I mean when your first two picks with your new franchise are Aaron Rodgers and Nick Collins, there's nowhere to go but down. Which he did with his 3rd pick Terrance Murphy.

Look no further than Bill Belichick. Bill hasn't DRAFTED a pro bowler since 2013 (Jaime Collins), an All Pro since 2012 (Chandler Jones), and only 1 player out of his last 3 drafts (Sony Michel) has started games for him.

You mean the same Terrence Murphy who was forced to retire for health reasons (spinal stenosis)?  I call that an unfortunate break, not a blown pick.

Maybe that's why the Patriots got an "F" in this years draft just like the Packers.

Uh, where did I say blown pick? I said after Rodgers and Collins there was nowhere to go but down. Do you disagree that the Murphy pick wasn't nearly as good as Rodgers and Collins?

Because of Murphy's injury, you have no clue how he would have turned out.

And I never even came close to speculating what Murphy could have been or wouldn't have been. Your first two picks as a new GM are a first ballot HOF QB, an all time great at any position and then a Pro Bowl safety that was looking like a future HOF player before his career ended early.

Nowhere to go but down. And that's what happened. The round that the pick happened to be is irrelevant.

No, except "down".  If Murphy hadn't had the injury, maybe he's a Pro Bowl WR.  So your "down" assessment is BS.  Reply or not, I'm done.

Key word here is "supposedly".

Probably basing it on last year's results and the perceived value of each teams draft.  What they can't and won't try to measure is what goes on in a given players head, the preparation they get, and the effort they put in (both practice and the game).  There are reasons GB won some close games last year and not all of them are visible and measurable.  The media needs to over it - the score board says GB did win.

Teams are probably better off having 8 or so good guys combined a bunch of above average to average guys than 12 good guys, some average guys, and 3-4 real weak positions. The Jason Spriggs, Packer TEs the last few years, and Packer DBs circa 2016 will cost you some games. If Rodgers stay healthy, the Smiths and the DBs play close to last years' level, and there is a season, the Packers success probably depends as much on improvement in their positions that Sternburger, Christian Kirksey, Lazard/MVS, and Burks give them. ILB and WR/TE (beyond D. Adams) don't look good on paper.
