Free tour of NASA in Houston.

I love the line in one article that said - We were in a heated space race to be first.

Additionally, "the Apollo missions were independently tracked by England and Russia (our allies and enemies), both of whom sent letters of congratulations after the Moon landings," NASA said. "In the midst of a heated space race, the Russians would have called our bluff if the landings had not actually happened."

Maybe the coolest documentary about a supposed moon landing fake was the documentary on Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining".  It is crazy just how many subtle references to the Apollo missions Kubrick put in that movie.  It doesn't mean the moon landing was faked, but it does make you wonder if Kubrick was trying to send some sort of message with all his clues in that movie.

Who knows, maybe the message he really wanted to send was "I love space missions and the Apollo missions were really cool!!".

The fact these guys can shoot a basketball doesn't mean much more than they can shoot a basketball. This is more embarrassing for Davidson (where he went to college for 4 years) than it is for anyone else.

Curry and Irving's idiocy doesn't mean that all athletes are idiots either. The fact they play sports doesn't mean they shouldn't have opinions on other things - just don't spout off about things you haven't looked into. LeBron James seems to be very well read and thoughtful - and he didn't attend a single college class. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is incredibly insightful. Malcolm Brogdon seems like a guy that will be a CEO after his playing days are done. Shane Battier is off the charts intelligent.

Could you provide a link that details the moon landing references in The Shining? Knowing Kubrick, he already knew he was alleged to be in on that nonsense and probably thought he'd have fun with it.

The documentary was called "Room 237".  There's other theories as to messages that Kubrick was trying to get across in the movie as well like references to Indian Genocide, and other things.  I just always thought "The Shining" was just nothing more than a cool horror movie, but there were a lot of subtle things that Kubrick threw in there to make one wonder what sort of messages he was trying to send.

Wikipedia link to the movie is below:

Imagine how Wharton feels

When I was in grad school, I did a summer semester program in France.  Then took additional time off and toured Europe with the wife.  It was amazing the amount of people that thought 9/11 was faked or staged.

Whatโ€™s ironic is no league has more conspiracy theories than the NBA.  From the draft lottery to the NBA playoffs itโ€™s littered with tinfoil theories and many played subscribe to those ideals.

Iโ€™m all about subtle messages in the movies or pop culture.  Metallicaโ€™s Johnny got  your gun reference in the One video. Little Big Man and Dustin Hoffman pushing the anti Vietnam war agenda. And then thereโ€™s Top Gun.  The most homoerotic movie ever made.  Feyda probably has it on a continuous loop.
