Bo Ryan had them ready. They played with great confidence, poise, and executed like a Champion tonight. And the great thing is that it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. They knocked down good looks, passed the ball like a Wisconsin team does, and played excellent man D.

I guess it a consequence of past disappointment. You don't want to feel too confident because we have seen that movie before. But this is really what we all should have expected. The Badgers aren't susceptible to "athletic teams". They have finally proven they can step up in the big moment and deliver a well played game. And because they're as good as they are, it isn't "slow down" or "style of play". It's better basketball. This team ran and out-gunned Oregon, then ground Baylor to a Pulp. We can finally say they're just a better basketball team.

And that feels really good...

The emergence of Kaminsky has been nothing short of amazing.  He's the anti Brian Butch and Evan Anderson.  A guy that's well exceeded expectations and has turned into a really good player that's a matchup problem.

The other guy is Nigel Hayes.  Coming into this game I thought he needed to play well to trade athleticism inside with the Baylor bigs and he worked them over.

Here's the one thing you wrote I really see differently.

Think about Kaminsky's play.  5 blocks?  Inside scoring.  Good shooting.  Outside shot threat.  Can drive.

At seven feet tall.

At the collegiate level, he is playing something really special.

My God, even Doug "I Hate Wisconsin" Gotlieb is praising the Badgers. I don't believe it, I just don't believe it. Studio guys think Bucky can beat either Arizona or SDS because both are poor scoring teams.

Outstanding for most part. FT shooting down the stretch was awful tho. Great ball movement throughout the game.

Could we see a 3 team BigTen Final Four?

Psych cognate here, and I gotta tell you, I'm pretty sure he meant "out of the oitnerary" as regarding per the Badgers.

But he's been doing that all season... Not that many blocks, but certainly everything We have seen before.

Sure is.  Love watching effective, fundamentally sound offense in the post. Wish we saw more of this in general, it's old school but it's some of the most beautiful basketball you'll ever see.

When I saw Kaminsky as a freshman it seemed like a wasted scholarship. Now he plays like Kevin McHale. The foot work in the paint is amazing and a 7 footer showing those kind of spin moves is astonishing. The fact that can you can now mention Kaminsky's name as an NBA prospect is a testament to his hard work and the UW staff. People were talking about McGarry last year as a lottery pick. I'd much rather have Kaminsky.

I'll tell you what, the McHale observation is interesting but he's got an outside game like Dirk Nowitski.   You just don't see 7 foot players with that kind of footwork and ball handling skills.   He can beat guys off the dribble or post them up down low.

People talk a lot about Dekker's pro prospects but Frank the Tank might be in a better position to succeed.

Loved the ARod video and was that Rob Jeter making a cameo appearance as well?    Maybe Brian Wardle and Dick Bennett can show up at the next stop!

This was my favorite Sweet 16 preview here http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/...91949490--ncaab.html

My favorite quote (they shot have the % not half the rate does that count?):

Baylor (+3) vs. Wisconsin – Baylor's beef down low, surgical precision on offense and arc assassin Brady Heslip (46.4 3PT percent) presents a daunting task for an uncharacteristically average Wisconsin defense. If the Bears execute at even half the rate they did against Creighton ... blowout.
