Jones is a good reason to get excited.  Start shaping the offense around the run game and make Hundley your Dilfer.

That would be step 1.

Step 2 would be somehow hiring the 2000 BAL D.

Whether Rodgers can return this season is contingent upon his rate of healing, and more specifically how quickly the bone fuses around the newly installed hardware. The framework of a potential return was carved into stone when the Packers placed Rodgers on injured reserve, guaranteeing he will miss a minimum of eight weeks. And Rodgers made it very clear he will not push the envelope just for the sake of playing as soon as possible.

“The only reason to come back would be that I’m healed completely,” Rodgers said. “If that doesn’t happen in eight weeks, there’s not even a conversation. … The biggest thing right now is range of motion and the strength, which ultimately won’t be the issues as we get to the end of this season. It will be the bone healing. But there’s a timetable. I believe I can practice in six weeks based on the schedule. So if I’m at a place at that point healing-wise and ability to throw, then I’ll be out here. And if I’m not, I won’t.”

Raven's and Steelers still have a QB, those are losses.  I can see winning at least one of the remaining 3, 2 possibly depending on how the ball bounces.

This whole thing was a screw job, from the dirty hit by Barr to the operating room getting their surgical supplies at Hardware Hank.

If the whole team from MM to the water boy doesn't improve from monday night, I'll say it again.  We might be the only win CLE chalks up this year.

Realistically, with some luck we win 1 or 2 but there is a lot of hope and faith behind that.  Maybe even some witchcraft.

You know he's working around the clock, every day trying to get back on the field this season for the green and gold. Interesting contrast to a certain scumbag TE for the NE Patriots.

Team mates have to get a little extra somethin-somethin to see him out there. 4 weeks ago he was in the hospital getting screws drilled into his shoulder. Now he is on the practice field with his guys. Whether he can actually play by the CAR or MIN game is yet to be seen, but this has to be a lift for the team over the next 4 games.

PFDoc Chao wrote, when the surgery was reported, that he thought Rodgers could be doing some light throwing by Thanksgiving. Seems he is on track.

Mike McCarthy said Aaron Rodgers is "making really good progress" in the rehab from his broken collarbone. "I know the training staff and the strength and conditioning staff are very pleased with where he is," McCarthy said. "He's moving right along." Rodgers was seen doing some rehab work off to the site on Wednesday during practice. It was the first time that's happened since he broke his right collarbone.

If not that, any team crushing the Queens at home on Super Sunday...

Minnesota Vikings, 5 time Super Bowl losers has a nice ring to it.

If that were to happen, I'd think I'd put up a billboard on I-94 facing Minnesota with 0-5 in big purple letters. Thing is, I don't want them to get that far. If they don't make it to the Super Bowl this year, it will have been over 40 years since they were in it. January 9, 1977 was the last time they were there and the Steelers beat them, making the Steelers my second favorite team in the NFL that season.

Last SB loss was against the Raiders. 32-14. Minny SB losses came against KC, Miami, Steelers and Raiders in order. Not that I pay much attention to Viking failure. Best part about all those losses (other than the losses) is that Minny never held a lead in any of those games.

I stand corrected. It was the Raiders they lost to on January 9, 1977. I always pay attention to viking failures, except, it seems, when getting their Super Bowl opponents down correctly. Still, this season will mark over 40 years since they were in a Super Bowl. An entire generation of Minnesotans has never seen their team in the Super Bowl. Here's hoping many more generations have the same experience.

The only Super Bowl I ever attended.
At the Rose Bowl with Madden/Stabler and Grant/Tarkenton.
Even back then I enjoyed seeing the queens lose and got to take part in the in one of those card shows where you hold up one side or the other on cue.
