Chip off the ol' block. He does not tweet much, but he's got a good sense of humor.

@eliotwolf46
Good thing all these mock drafts are coming out so we know who to pick

Some older ones from Eliot that I found interesting. Tweeted just after Claiborne's score was leaked.

@eliotwolf46
Wonderlic test is archaic & overrated. If a player has a reading comprehension issue or dyslexia, they are not given special circumstances

@eliotwolf46
Every year there are players who score in the 30s who can't learn football & players who score single digits who have great football minds.
I'm just going to make some predictions as to what Ted might say.

TED: "There's some guys we like and some we don't like as much. The guys we like, we'll probably pick."

TED: "If the situation is right, we might move up in the draft for someone we like. Then again, we might trade down. Standing pat and not moving the pick at all is also a good option."

TED: "In the 1st round we're looking at some defensive linemen at that spot. Also some Linebackers, Defensive Backs, and Offensive Linemen. If there's a good Wide Reciever, Tight End, or Running Back, we might consider that too. I doubt we'd take a punter though, he'd have to be really really good."

TED: "I have a fondness for defensive linemen with an injury history. Jared Crick might be the next whipping boy for Packer fans. With Justin Harrell gone and Mike Neal possibly on his way out, I figure Jared Crick is the next injured D-Lineman to ascend the whipping boy throne. I have to do something to keep Kworst interested in the team if I jettison Mike Neal."

TED: "There's some guys we like and, frankly, some we don't like as much. Frankly, the guys we like, we'll probably pick."

Sorry, 'phoe, had to FTFY. You were otherwise close. Razzer
Ted is on now
Collin's is a wait and see process.
Talk about how they still follows Wolf's system.
Thank Boris for teaching Wolf and himself all they know about drafting
First Quite Frankly
The Audio was a bit scrambled but I think Ted said " Goalline is the guy they want and they will do anything even trading Rodger and Mathews to get him".

They draft for long term, not need
Ted thinks DJ Smith is a good player even if he is short.

Presser over, only one quite frankly
The Press conference was heavy on information, lite on silly talk.
But Quite Frankly other than Ted gushing over Boris Mock draft this presser was less informative then the average Ted presser.
He did say "It's just the way it worked out" twice.

Talked about comp picks... always likes extra picks... like Wolf said "more swings at the plate"

Lots of smirks and grins when addressing some specific/directed questions. Especially liked his response when asked about QB size with a reference to Wilson.

Another interesting (to me at least) answer was in regards to 4 yr vs 3 yr college players. paraphrasing - Jr's picked have been special talents.
Ted reads X4.

quote:
--- It's tough to project defensive linemen. This may be the toughest position to scout. The opinions on ends and tackles always differ. And many first-rounders never pan out. Justin Harrell, the 2007 first-round disappointment, is the obvious example here in Green Bay.

This year, Green Bay could certainly use a defensive end in the draft. It'll take careful examination to find the right guy.

“It’s a tough position," Thompson said. "It’s a nasty spot to be, pushing and shoving against 300- and 350-pounders. They are at a premium. A good one may be big people who are athletic enough to do it than smaller people who play other positions. It’s just a question of numbers usually.”

He also commented on Big School vs small school kids - mentioned that the kids from the power schools are competing for a spot from the moment they arrive and are facing top players for years. Small school kids face less competition during their college career. Both produce talented football players, but he loves competition as it brings out the best in players
