bubbleboys avatar RULES!
Hoping TT is leaving a message for Gunter as I type. Guy has a leg on him.
I don't have a copy of the current rule book, but I'd presume the penalty of also losing the booth review is explicitly written into the book.
Schwartz's stupidity cost them the review. If he would have known the rules, that play would have been overturned. When you throw the flag on plays that are automatically reviewed, it gets a penalty that wipes out the review. The officials missed the call, but their nitwit coach is responsible for it standing.
For once, I actually can relate to what Schwartz did. I probably would have thrown the red flag before the guy even got to the end zone. What a joke and another rule that needs to be re-evaluated.

Because it was a scoring play in the end. IT would have been reviewed upstairs and overturned, but once Schwartz challenged the play it cost them the review. I don't get why they penalize the team twice(15 yard penalty AND scoring play is then not reviewed) but that's how it works

And how does Shannon Sharpe talk like he has a mouthfull of mashed potatoes but it's obvious he doesn't?
No chyt! Simms is awful!
A perfect day would be the Lions blowing this one, a Cowboys blowout loss (currently 6-0 against the Redskins on Thanksgiving) and the Patriots losing to a horrible Jets team tonight.

I don't mean to toot my own horn (well, why the hell not toot it ), but as I already mentioned, the same thing happened to Mike Smith just this past Sunday (albeit on a turnover instead of a scoring play).

Talking about assault to injury!!!
If were the lions i would get up after i was tackled and run to the endzone EVERY DAMN PLAY.
Shock fans in attendance.

Of course, the whistle would already have blown, so the Lions would just get a bunch of delay of game penalties.
Houston = Atlanta.
Schaub = Ryan
Fun game to start Thanksgiving day off. Hope it goes to OT.
First play to Calvin Johnson. It seems they learned something. Then they target the TE the next 4 plays and then an almost sack until finally they try Johnson again on the bomb. Don't understand. They must have some plays designed for him in the last two minutes.
Texans in field goal range.
Those refs better get out of town in a hurry if the Texans go on to win this
Pettigrew sure didnt' help. Drops a pass that would have put Detroit in FG range and then has that costly fumble

Terrible last few plays by Houston to make that FG attempt more difficult. Might just cost them now
JJ Watt again.
I smell a Stafford pick coming.
They'll overturn this, incomplete pass.

Almost got it

If these refs want to make it out of Detroit alive..
That was a terrible pass by Schaub. I just can't take Houston as the main threat in the AFC with him at QB. Denver and New England are still the teams out of the AFC for me
LOLions
anybody who thinks the Texans are the best team in the NFL is kidding themselves.
I agree. Obviously the 9ers. Have you seen all the superheros on that team? Obviously they won't lose a single game this year.
There'll be plenty of fires buring in Detroit tonight!!! Those people use any excuse to torch something don't they?
They're 4-7 now. They'll probably win 1-2 more the rest of the way. Hopefully, those wins come against the Falcons and/or Bears. However, I have a feeling that they could be extremely dirty when the Packers see them again at Lambeau. By that I mean they be so willing to hold back in a scenario similar to where Nick Fairley had a shot to body slam Rodgers.

Careful.
I rewatched the Suh "kick" and while I thought it was inadvertent the first time I saw it, I'm starting to think otherwise. It kind of looks like he swings his leg on purpose (similar to an o-lineman trying to trip a pass rusher after he falls), then extends his leg at the end, right into Schaub's groin. If it was anyone else, I'd say it was no issue. But Suh is far and away lost any benefit of the doubt. It'll be interesting to see what the league does here.
lions=cheapshot artists.
punks. starts with the schwartz.
if roger dodger badell were serious about player safety Nick Fairley would be having a sit down with the comish to discuss this new body slam technique he almost, almost followed through with this time.

I agree & said so before the Packers played them on Sunday night....however, they played 5 quarters of football 4 days prior. Then another 5 vs. The Lions. That's pretty tough for any team.
They'll be right there at the end with Denver, Baltimore & New England
Joseph (their best corner) did not play and Detroit can certainly throw the ball. What surprised me though is that they only sacked Stafford 3 times. That DL vs the Detroit OL seemed to be a big mismatch but it didn't play out that way.

Tdog - I think that the point right there. He [/b]didn't[/b] follow through with the body slam. Maybe the fines/suspensions are having a positive effect on the big dummy!
