---The majority of the crowd will be us
--- Return of Cobb (whole reciever group together for first time)
--- Past 3-4 weeks Green Bay defense has played very good at home
--- Green Bay RB as a group, have done well at home, 150 + last time vs MN
--- Ponder's first playoff game, primetime, also on the road
--- Don Capers will raise his creativity for exotic blitzes forcing Ponder to turn the ball over
--- I will wear my Packer underwear, forgot to wear any underwear at all Sunday

I think this game has blowout written all over it.

41-20 Green Bay moves on to SF

The Vikings have played a lot better at home than on the road but their power running game is the perfect way to control the clock and take advantage on what may be poor field conditions or a slow track.

The X factor is Ponder. They have to pressure the guy and when they have the chance they need to make those picks. The defenders should have had two on Sunday.
the biggest thing is the focus will be different for both teams.

Vikings were facing a must win, and now I think a little bit of a feeling of accomplishment has settled in and theyre glad to just be in it. Still took a last second fg

Packers now have a shot to avenge last years early exit at home. This is the game to help bury that. They shoulda got that matchup vs SF and now have that shot.

Getting off to a fast start is a must. If we lose this one, then theres some serious questions about the mindset and toughness of our team. Except for Minn avenging week 13 loss here, Packers have just about every intangible motivational factor in their favor

Yes. But for some reason if you play for the Packers, you never just get "dinged". You MUST miss a few games. I think it's a league rule.
I love the line about Woodson had been close to being cleared for about 4 weeks. Roll Eyes

What's up with Finley? He actually looked good the last couple games. Caught the ball, fought for extra yards and had several good blocks. Stands to reason all good things come to an end!

Got poked in the eye and swelled shut. Unless he has an orbital fracture or a retinal detachment, he ought to be playing. He's been a weapon in the short passing game lately.

For that to happen, the NFL needs to move the game to Seattle.

No, for that to happen they need to pipe in crowd noise just like Seattle
I don't see much 3 man rush this time around. Ponder's going to be eating lots of turf Saturday night if the Packers can get a ten point lead.

I also think Tramon remembers that he's a very good player, and plays without his skirt for the rematch.
From Wilde tweet:

Packers have missed 65 tackles this year. 3rd fewest in the NFL.

The bad news. For whatever reason almost 25% of those have come in two games. 15 missed tackles against MN this year.
Watched the first game vs. Minnesota on NFL Replay today.

Ponder had a few lucky throws in that one too when he got some pressure in his face.

He goes to the TE a LOT.

We played man and blitzed Ponder in the first game. Don't understand why we didn't stick with that game plan in round 2. It was working.

Ponder was a scintillating 12/25 for 119 & 1 TD with 2 INT's in the first game.

I hope he plays even worse on Saturday
Sunday was the first time Ponder had thrown for over 200 yards since week 10. It was also his 2nd career 3 TD game and his only one all season. All that, Peterson had another monster game and the Packers still almost pulled out a road victory.
I expect AP to have a big game as usual against us.It's just what he does to teams. We may tackle him better and play the linebackers and Woodson to help cut off the outside edges but it comes down to Ponder not playing like he did last sunday.I just don't see that kinda performance from him happening twice in 6 days. The Pack will get to him, he will make his mistakes. A whole different environment this time. No cozy climate controlled dome and home crowd for him.
Hopefully Jordy is a go this week but if he's not one thing I noticed MM and Clements doing last week was putting JJ in positions where he could use his physical strength after the catch. Jones is a strong mo' fo' and in short pass routes he was making Vikings miss and was tough to bring down.

If Winfield can't play or is at least limited with his broken hand, Packers vs. Queens secondary is definitely advantage Packers.
Thats what I was also thinking. If Jordy plays how the heck are they going to cover Jennings,Jordy,Jones,Cobb, and Finley ? A solid pass rush would be their only hope to disrupt our passing attack.
Peterson will put the bal;l on the ground at least once this game. He almost fumbled in the dome but now with the temp in the 20's at La La Lambeau he'll be thinking about all his past fumbles.

I was thinking the same thing. We need to win the turnover battle.
Does anyone have an idea as to why this is not a hot ticket? The amount of tickets available is constantly increasing on ticket exchange, and pairs are barely selling above face value ($20-$30 premium).
This article seems to say that ticket interest is high.

Most Packers playoff tickets were recently claimed by season-ticket holders. A small number of remaining seats were made available Monday morning to people on the season-ticket waiting list, and all were sold within a few hours, according to Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey.

“We were excited to offer the tickets this way,” he said. “It gives our waiting list a nice opportunity and also increases the likelihood that Packers fans will purchase the tickets and be in the seats, increasing our home-field advantage.”
I predicted the Packers would score 35, they scored 34.

The thing nobody could predict was the Vikings scoring 37

All season long they scored 30+ only 4 times. 30 vs. the Titans, 34 vs. the Lions & 36 vs. the Rams. 37 was their highest output of the season. If they do that again I'll be extremely surprised.

I'm with Grave Digger, the Packer defense HAS to play better. They're not as bad as last Sunday & I can't see them allowing more than 23-24 to the Vikings. Meanwhile I see the Packers putting up another 30 on them.

The Packers will have no one to blame except themselves if they lose this game.
