Theres a lot of interesting possibilities. Is Beal even available? What about Kevin Love? Will AD be available?

Bucks don’t have a lot of trade assets. No major expiring deals to free money for a contender. Middleton could be available, but who’s be interested? Are the Bucks willing to make a major deal involving starters while they’re rolling to a top Eastern Conference seed?

I actually think the Bucks do have a lot of assets.  Bledsoe for one because he’s playing well and his 15MM contract expires after this year.

To a lesser extent you could do the same with Middleton as he will not be picking up his player option after the season.

DJ Wilson and Thon Maker would have some value depending on what team would be pursuing them.

I like the idea of Beal if for no reason he’s a good insurance policy if Middleton bolts.  Not sure what they would give up to get him.

I think the roster they have now is the roster they go into the playoffs with. An exception might be if a guy is traded and then released. I could see them adding another bench guy - stretch 4 type that way, but it would be a situational sub and not anything more.

The Bucks already made their move by getting George Hill and dumping two bad contracts by giving up the picks.

I agree with this. Though Beal would be great, the Bucks could do that in the off season. Bledsoe and Middleton are not tradable assets unless the deal is for a total train wreck contract. Like Wall (pre-injury)- a completely untradable contract. Sure the Bullets would love to do that trade. Or Blake Griffin. That’s the only kind of trade that two approaching FA players would make sense to deal.

No, I think what we have now is what they’re going to be. They’ll have lots of money for their 3 guys or someone else, or a sign and trade.

I think the Bucks will end up a top 2 seed, get deep in the EC, if someone gets hot they’ll have a shot at the finals, and the roster will look very different next year...

Trading guys with long term money for players with expiring contracts makes a lot of sense for a number of teams.  Heck, the Bucks just did it with the George Hill trade. WTF Cleveland but we will certainly oblige.

Bledsoe and Middleton and Lopez could fit that description.

That being said, I like the chemistry of where this team is at.  You make a deal and while you may upgrade the talent you could also negatively impact how the team fits and functions together.

What long term contract do you disrupt the starting lineup for that makes sense? Blake Griffin? Tim Hardaway? Damien Lillard? Allen Crabbe? I would have put Wall on this list before he got hurt.

I cabt think of any players that another team is trying to get rid of that would make the Bucks better.

Breaking news

Anthony Davis is now on record saying he wants a trade.   The likely suspects are the Lakers and Boston, but honestly, why not Milwaukee?

I think the Lakers would be a terrible move.  That team is garbage without LeBron and they still have to get through the Warriors which they won’t even with Davis. Plus, you play with LeBron and you will always be second fiddle.

Boston just seems to be all over the map despite having the best assets to trade.  Plus, I’m not sure Irving is coming back and that’s a big factor IMO.

I’d give Brogdon, Middleton, and Maker for AD. It would probably scuttle any chance they’d have to an EC title this year, let alone an NBA title, but in the off chance it works they could win the East and give the Warriors all they could handle in the Finals, you do it. Brown elevates to starter with Connaughton and Divincenzo in the mix at SG. Leave Lopez as your starter at C, AD at PF, Giannis moves to SF. Bring Wood up to back up AD, DJW backs up both F spots with Ilyasova, and Bledsoe and Hill make up your PG rotation.

You offer AD a supermax extension in the offseason. Keep Bledsoe... and then you have young and cheap at all other positions coming up with the right mix of veterans to keep it pro.

If he doesn’t stay after 2021, they have the cap room and youth to re-rack and go after Beal and another FA. Then Giannis is up and he gets supermaxed.

I don't think that is nearly enough.

It's not nearly enough and Middleton is a free agent and Brogdon is a restricted free agent.

It all depends on what New Orleans is seeking.

Boston is hampered from making a deal until the summer due to the Rose Rule.  They could probably package the best combination of assets, but could also have the rug pulled out from underneath them because of timing.

The Lakers seem like the leader in the clubhouse, but what could they offer to make it attractive enough?  Outside of LeBron there’s no one on that roster that is as good as a Jalen Brown or other trade options that Boston could throw together. Davis may want to play there but that doesn’t mean New Orleans wants to get desperate.

The Bucks could put together an intriguing package of Bledsoe, Brogdon, Maker and Snell plus a draft pick.  They could also substitute Middleton for Bledsoe.  Why this matters for Milwaukee is they would have him for two playoff runs - this year and next.  Plus, with the emergence of Sterling Brown and DJ Wilson it gives the Bucks more depth options to backfill.

The wild card could be the Knicks.  They are on track to get the top pick and that could mean a lot to a team like New Orleans.  They could also throw in Porzingis and Knox.   If the Knicks were to add Davis and then Durant lands there that all of a sudden becomes a very good team.  And if the Pelicans could parlay the Knicks pick into Zion that’s the best case scenario for them.
