The Packers have placed WR Jake Kumerow I'm injured reserve, a source said. He would be eligible to return in Week 8 if the Packers wanted to use one of their return moves on him. http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-41030310-4 β¦
Davis it is.
Believe the moves today bring the roster to 50.
Edit: 53 - 2 = 51 Need some more coffee.
Donβt remember him...
Almost certain we'll add a RB, what about other position....OLBer?
Iβll bet Rip is coming back

So he's done for the year. I can't imagine using one of their return moves on a guy who was going to the 6th or 7th WR.
Rip will be back, but we are one CM3 hamstring injury, or, just as likely, one Nick Perry nagging injury that costs him a few games away from Fackrell starting at one of the edge rusher positions.
I'm willing to give Gute the benefit of the doubt, but the overall LB situation does not look promising.
Really be surprised if Rip is back. Snaps fell off a cliff last year and the team appears to be phasing the position out just like most of the league.

I think this is part of the "clean slate" playbook.

Iβm pretty sure he was 4th on the depth chart behind Adams, Cobb and Allison. Heβll be back.
I donβt know how one knows there will be no injuries at WR between now and week 8 but Iβm going to sleep better at night.
Depends on who else gets injured and needs to come back.
Kumerow will be back...if they weren't planning on bringing him back they would have waived hm injured yesterday..but NFL rules say he had to be on the 53 yesterday to be eligible to return...wouldn't have kept him if he wasn't in their plans.
Think injuries and the development of the rookies will determine if we see him this year. Wouldn't be all that shocked if he never plays a regular season down for the team.

Iβm sure he wonβt be rolling into the end zone for a long time, if ever again.

There's the RB help.
It will be interesting to see if he is more than a 2-week rental.
Antoo, I agree. I donβt see him lasting. And I could not find much on tape. But there is a reason he is not on a starting roster.

You mean there is the guy the Packers are going to help try to be a RB.
No real reason to believe he'll still be around after Jones is done with his suspension.

I doubt it unless they're going to jettison Montgomery or carry 4 guys.
Heβs a miracle find at RB in the 11th hour capable of wonderous things until I watch him lose three yards on his first carry.
On a serious note. Iβd love it if this Tony Brown kid has any experience at KR/PR. Trevor Davis simply isnβt good enough to justify a WR spot. MVS gave kick return a shot. Not pretty. Best punt returner on the roster is Josh Jackson.
But if a CB thatβs well, weβll down on the depth chart with 4.3 speed can handle either or both? Thatβs beautiful.

Those are Logan Mankins numbers.
He had 72 yards on 21 carries in the preseason. Almost made the Cowboys 53. Heβs very likely gone after week 2.

Apparently the cowboys wanted to stash him on their practice squad.
