1.  John Kuhn is mourning for fullbacks everywhere.

2.  4 tight ends/ I guess to help fill the fb void.   But Kendrick’s makes it???  Byrd deserves PS spot.

3. Fackrell has nudies of Gutey.

4.   I don’t care what anyone says, I’m still furious at TT for taking Biegel when he could have taken T.J.  Watt.

TJ was available in the 4th? TJ hasn't done squat. Get over your man love.

I was really surprised that both Ripkowski and Kerridge were cut. Now seeing that we kept 4 TEs, those cuts make sense, a little more. Now that Da Bears have Mack, I can see a TE lining up on the right side of our Oline to help our starting RT block Mack. I think Bakh will be able to handle Mack on the left side. It looks to me, right now, that we will need to go to FA or draft RT and LT depth, next year, or get them on the waiver wire this year. How long does the waiver period last once a team has made it's initial cuts?

But https://www.packers.com/team/players-roster/ shows those 3 on IR.  Meaning that they are not released.  This is consistent with what this web site has indicated since yesterday.  There is a disconnect somewhere.

The roster as is does not make sense

I agree until I thought about it some.  Many of those thoughts already expressed here.  GB won a SB in 2011 without a dominant TE.  But they did not have 8 wide outs either.  9 OL is a little strong there - unless there are some unpublished lingering injury concerns.  I don't think the schemes have changes unless those practices inside the Hutson Center they were working on the "real" stuff - both on offense and defense.  Maybe when we see how those players are used and what they do it will all make sense.

Who the hell is James Crawford?

Meaning, does anyone have a take?  I didn't catch all the games but I sure don't remember hearing his name.

For one thing, he is the nephew of Charles Woodson.

He's got the measurables.  Seems like a solid UDFA for development.  The others ran their course.

2 running backs clearly aren’t going to be enough either.  Seems to me Gutsykurst cut some guys who had the best chance of clearing waivers, with the intention of bringing them back after stashing the rookie wideouts somehow.

I’m happy for the 3 draft picks at WR, but as everyone knows, and as McCarthy recently lamented, first year WR’s don’t contribute much.  We have not one, not 2, but a whopping 3 potential lame ducks at that position right now. That is probably going to change as needs elswhere come up, like OLB depth right now, and when one or more of our running backs get hurt.

What we really need now are a couple rookie wide outs to “injure” their groins or hamstrings, so they can go on IR-DTR. People are nominating Kumerow and his stinger, but unlike the draft picks, he’s ready to play now. That stinger isn’t an 8-week injury. I don’t even think it was the reason he was kept out of the last pre-season game.  He was already a lock.

Strong statement from Gutekunst and it wasn't exactly an endorsement of TT's drafting. In fact, fair to say he views many of his picks as being little more than roster dead weight.

Many of TT's draft picks were also cut from other teams yesterday...Murphy waited about 3 years too long

Rollins?  I didn't know he was hurt.   Unless he isn't fully recovered from last years injury.

Released with injury settlements.

Not one of the many TT picks who were cut yesterday was claimed on waivers.

Gut had a lot of work to do with the roster he inherited.

With 8  WR's I'm pretty sure a reduction there happens soon. Since the Pack was supposedly "actively" shopping Davis and so far no takers I'm guessing he gets released soon. If the Pack was gonna put Kumerow on IR with a DTR they would most likely have done that today, but have not. So my crystal ball says Davis released/traded by Monday AND Ripkowski brought back. That would then give us 3 RB's heading into the season.

Gutey said today the RB situation was "evolving" kinda indicating they would have another RB soon.
