A source familiar with the situation indicates the Minnesota Vikings and Eli Manning have mutual interest. It’s unclear at this time if something is in the works for this year or groundwork is being laid for next year.

Yes the answer is a QB who is slower & has less arm strength behind that purple O-Line.

Brilliant!

Might as well age cousins 10 years then start him...

Here's a chart....Kirk should be killing it but he sucks, so he isn't.

But won’t daddy have to approve this move first?

I'd let those dudes back into this thread.  It's cheap entertainment!

Plus... the one guy was actually funny.

You know who is gonna be stewing over that post. I'll prolly get a bunch of PM's about it. Thanks!

From the article:

The following figures sum up Cousins in big games: He has a 5-26 record against teams with winning records, a career road record of 13-24-2 and a combined prime-time record of 7-25. Since he became the Vikings' starting quarterback, Cousins has yet to lead a game-winning drive, a span of 18 games.

Cousins has never claimed to be more than what he is, noting his own reality as "pretty much a .500 quarterback."

According to Pro Football Focus, Cousins is ranked 27th out of 27 qualifying quarterbacks in passer rating (76.5) inside the 10-yard line since 2017. He has completed 44.6% of his passes with the lowest yards per attempt (1.6).

They're bringing back Treadwell. Chad Beebe is hurt.

It's confirmed. The Vikings are re-signing Laquon Treadwell today sources tell myself and @AdamSchefter. Minnesota is going to re-evaluate Chad Beebe's ankle injury in a week or so from what I was told, but Treadwell provides depth in the short term behind Thielen, Diggs & Johnson

Finally...a voice of reason around here

Otherwise...we would never know

getting the band back together over in suckland:

When the team announced the previously reported signing of Treadwell on Tuesday afternoon, they also announced that they have signed cornerback Marcus Sherels.

Sherels signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2010 and remained with the team through last season. He signed with the Saints in March and was released after being placed on injured reserve in late August.

I hear RB Dave Osborn is on the verge of re-signing with the vikings to provide back up to Cook. Hasn't played in Minnesota for about 45 years but is raring to get out of the nursing home and onto the field. Skol vikings!

How big is the game Sunday with the Bears and Vikings? Since the NFC Central became the NFC North, no team has won the division with more than 1 loss within the division. One of these teams will have 2 early division losses.

I think this game is more important to Chicago given they are at home and have you seen their final four games of the season?  Road games at MN and at GB and home games against Dallas and KC.

For NFCN positioning, you want CHI win this because they are at home.  CHI and GB both have yet to travel to MIN where it would be more difficult to win.  Ideally CHI and MIN split their series.

Yes it would be nice for the Bears to win to help out the Pack.

And it would also be nice because I despise the Queens more than any other team and them falling to 2-2 would be delicious.

I won’t root for the Bears until I’m 100% certain it helps our playoff chances.

I won't root for the vikings because they are the vikings. I can root for the Bears because they are playing the vikings at their home in Soldier Field. A couple of cellar dwellers duking it out for mediocrity. I want to see Trubisciuit shred the vikings defense and I want to see the Bears defense shred Cousins' pass protection. Navy and purple smears all over the field. Nice!
