RIP Tingelhoff. Tough guy, good player.

Tinglehoff spoke at one of our High School athletic banquets, once. He seemed like a good guy, even if he was a viking. He told some good stories of guys he faced while in Minnesota. One story I remember, was when he lined up at Center for the vikings and he looked up to see who he was to block on the play. He saw Big Daddy Lipscomb licking his chops. It was a Tinglehoff "Oh shit" moment.

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen suffered a concussion in a car accident this week after swerving to miss a deer, coach Mike Zimmer said Friday.

According to a statement from the Minnetrista Public Safety Department, Griffen told officers at the scene that he lost control of the car when he swerved to miss the deer in the road. The car then left the road and crashed into a tree.

Yah, right.  I'm sure he did.

Heard Paul Allen thought the FG was good and started celebrating ... and the analyst Bercich had to give him the bad news.

Deelicious.

If anyone has a link to the glorious call, don't hesitate to share.

Even better, when they played a clip of the call during the postgame show they had edited it so that Allen’s elongated scream of “Goooooooooooooooood” was reduced greatly.*

*note- I was driving home from Hudson and heard both the live and replay calls. They were noticeably different.
