From Warren Sharp

the vikings allowed TDs on 32.4% of opponent drives in the final 4 minutes before halftime or the end of the game:  Worst in the NFL

NFL average was 12% and team #31 allowed  20.6%

Not only did they rank #32 in the NFL last season...
they ranked #686 of 686 teams since at least 2000

that's some serious suck

Haven't the Vikes been Champions of the offseason/April a bunch of times??

I think it's been for the last 20, maybe 25 years at the least.
Probably closer to 30 now that I think about it.

I don't remember their fans being as obnoxious back in the '70's, but what I knew about them was extremely limited. If any of you old-timers recall otherwise, please advise.

In any case, I seem to remember them starting their funkiness in the middle '80's, and have been mostly insufferable since the '90's. I do think they have been humbled a bit the last couple of years as they submitted to the realities of Kirk's superstar contract's ramifications, but they'll be back. Just ask Jaymo.

OMGAWDâ€Ķâ€ĶSaints vs Queens, with Bert, for NFC championshipâ€Ķâ€Ķ.is this the game Bert throws the INT??  Or is it the game the queens kicker who didn’t miss a field goal all year misses the winning one??  I can’t remember, don’t matter, both make me sooooooooooooooo happy eh???  Queens lose both.   And you all know that I totally despise Bert right??

As I watched that play, it reminded me of witnessing a car crash. Everything seems to go super-slow motion, you can see it developing, you know what's going to happen, and there's nothing you can do to stop it.
It was like knowing exactly what Bert was going to do before he did.

Not that we hadn't see it before.
A few times...

I know, but seriously, I think this was the game that they were driving for the win to go to the Super Bowl, and bam, he throws his final INT and they lose.   Is this the game??  My husband and I both jumped up and hugged each other.

Wasn't that INT game played in Minnesota? This NO- Vikings game was in NO, I believe. The missed Gary Anderson FG game was the NFCCG, in Minnesota, against the Falcons. Gary Anderson misses the FG wide left, which would have put the vikings up by 10. This is the game where Falcon DB, and former Packer, Eugene Robinson, deflects the ball away from Randy Moss, on a bomb down the left sideline near the 20 yard line. Best play of Eugene's career, IMO. Atlanta's Morton Anderson kicks the game winning FG and the deflated vikings' fans falling into their seats was a wonderful sight to see! SKOL!
