The Vikings will go 4-0 against the Pack and Motor City Kitties, win the Super Bowl, say to hell with Disneyland, and then smash the Lombardi to smithereen right on live TV.

There must be something in the water in Minnesota....

New stadium is over budget. Maybe leaving an N out is part of Zygi's cost recovery program.

Thanking the people that built your stadium with a defective knit cap that won't be worn inside an enclosed stadium. Everything about that operation smells like fail.

They could only afford one N with the revenue from the electronic pull-tabs.

Stoopid. Ban the horn not the dude.

MINNEAPOLIS - While a legion of Vikings fans were extremely happy at the outcome of Sunday's drubbing of the Detroit Lions, for some, something was missing from the game day experience.

Namely, an animated bearded fella dressed in fur and a hat with horns firing up the home crowd at TCF Stadium.

Social media was buzzing Sunday and early Monday with Vikings fans wondering what happened to Joe Juranitch, better known as Ragnar. The madcap mascot, who has been on the field revving up crowds with the purple since 1994, was noticeably absent.

While the team has not commented on the situation, Juranitch posted a message on his Ragnar Facebook page with a downtrodden picture of him dressed in his traditional game day garb, watching the Vikings and Lions on TV.

"It doesn't feel right sitting at home. This is not by my choice...I don't make those decisions..At this point it was made for me," Juranitch wrote. "I miss all my fans and your support ...let's all stay positive as we move forward."

OMG, someone hold me. This is one of the funniest things I have ever read. Typical Vikings fan.

So, ya get free tickets to the game for 20 years, get to act the fool for 60 minutes 8 times a year ON THE FIELD, have thousands of adoring idiots...er fans, and you want 20K a game for your trouble? LOVE IT!!!

Oh, and 20K a game is $160K a year, not 1.6 mil. Vikings can't spell and can't do math either.

It's becoming apparent that toddler Seahawks fans are cut from the same cloth as Spermhead fans.

POS Petey leading the charge on blaming refs even further.  Those two organizations are synonymous now.

Petey is saying the long PI on Sherman shouldn't have happened after Bennett jumped offsides. Play should have been whistled dead.

Petey forgets Shermans INT in the NFCC game when Bennett jumped offsides and no flag was thrown.

Coach your guys to stop jumping offsides Petey and STFU.

The play should have been whistled dead. It wasn't, so the PI counts. Packers score. Seahawks lose. And a 0-2 start and now looking up at a 2-0 ARI in the west and a 2-0 ATL, 2-0 DAL, and 2-0 GBP (who own the tie-breaker) in the NFC. Live with it.

Lance Easley was the line judge and gave us a make-up call.

Seriously, I thought the play should have been whistled dead and not because Bennett jumped; I don't think he had a straight line to the QB because he pulled up. But, I think it should have been whistled dead because it looks like at least one of our OL (can't recall who right now) came out of his stance to point at Bennett before the ball was snapped. When I saw that, I thought the whistle would blow and we'd just get the 5 yards for Bennett's infraction.

But, Petsey is just whining now. I think MM would just make some comment like "one play doesn't make the game" or "no excuses" or some such thing. Petsey would rather cry and say, "We wuz robbed."

Riiiight. DRod just about got his head torn off. I wish he hadn't retaliated, especially because it came after the guy had let go. If he hadn't retaliated, it would have been 15 yards plus the ejection. Then Petsey could have really had a meltdown!

Mike McCarthy's press conference after the Fail Mary debacle. Instructive.

MM....having his team go back out there for the "extra point" speaks volumes about his character & commitment to the integrity of the game.

I remember the commish commending MM for that

The article says it was for 20K per game, for 8 games a year, for 10 years.  If you do the math (20000 X 8) X 10, it does in fact equal 1.6 mill.  So they can do math.  But still, for once - and possibly the only time in my life - I agree with Viking management.  Almost can't believe I typed that .............

1.6 million over 10 years?!? What leverage does he think he has? I'm sure it will be hard for the Vikings to go find tall bearded man of Scandanavian descent who is willing to make an ass of himself 8 times a year in Minnesota...

Pondwaters contract.

It's so funny, I went to the Queens game this past weekend with my g/f, and I was telling her about Ragnar.  We looked all over the place for him, and where I thought he would be, no luck.  Next day I read the story about the type of dough he wants.  CRAZY!!

Henry, I can vouch for your well documented work in the free-range area. The loud mouth variety should be an easy transition. I'll take the standard 10%.

You might actually get 1.6 mil for that. Your talent is unmatched. #hailtothefreerangeahole
