I thinks it's a fairly attractive structure with soft lines and windows and things.
Revenge will come . . . and it won't be pretty.
I think the Eagles, Falcons & Cardinals might have trouble playing there.....or getting into the place.
The Seahawks.......Don't forget the Seahawks.
Go Unicorns!
I live in the Twin Cities and the stadium is a blight on the landscape. It's pointy and ugly and the colors are horrendous. Instead of looking like a Viking ship it looks like a block of obsidian formed after a volcano spit up...
It looks like an aspiring architect designed it. Like a 10 year old aspiring architect.
Or maybe Art Vandelay!
Love that it is labeled it "Stadium" so they could find it.
It really does look alien because it's too big for the surrounding buildings and downtown in general. It gives off a giant tool shed vibe.
Just saying....
International waters?
That's one hell of a Love Boat.
Reminiscent of 'dated' '50's architecture with iconic slanted roofs, (but no where near as much glass).
I expect this monstrous monolith to get uglier with the passage of time.
Isn't that whole roof glass and we're just looking at the cover in this pic?
I hope they miscalculated the curvature of the roof and it sets the turf on fire each solstice.
Pffft. ...you think the Vikings have Mayan mathematical skills?!??!

A giant replica of a ship would've been a better idea!

When the Vikings are playing at home it will be full of "tools".

The end zone seats will be a little further away than what I would like. But at least it would look better.

Ammo wins! It now has a new name. The Tool Shed. Perfect.
Capsized love boat is fitting
It's where they hold the Vikings players who get arrested.
If you want to say it was designed after a ship, this is the far more likely source material.

Appropriate in that the Monitor was described as "A cheese on a raft"
Also the Merrimack (Virginia) was built from former Union equipment. And it eventually self destructed.
"Honestly I was upset with the Vikings for not re-signing Jennings. I thought Teddy really lost something when Jennings left....
Jennings was dependable and ran great routes. That's what matters most to a QB who doesn't have the strongest arm but knows the playbook. Timing and Trust. Something the Vikings didn't have until Week 5 last year.
So I'm giving him 24 this year because Diggs is the new Jennings and is going to light it up!
Teddy going into his 3rd year, drafting of Treadwell and signing of Boone get's him to a minimum of 24 TD's. "
Gotta Love Rube Chat!
Vikings got their feelings out of joint after an ESPN write-up mistakenly said the Packers won the NFC north in 2015. http://www.dailynorseman.com/2...-nfc-north-last-year
The Vikings posted this to twitter--which speaks volumes about them. The Packers, having won 13 world championships, only display banners reflecting those--not NFC North "championships".............. but if that's all you got to display........
...Really, @espn? #Vikings pic.twitter.com/HwKmOum5a0
I liked this article better. Spot on for me, but I hope they keep him for at least 5 more years.
82 yards, 5 tds and 3 game losing fumbles by your best player in 5 play-off games. That speaks volumes.
If the Vikings said nothing, ESPN looks like complete idiots. Instead, the Vikings **** that up too by stepping down to their level. Awesome!
Vikings are going to lose that banner anyways. It's what they do.
It'll get crushed when the roof caves in.

How many SB winners have had a true franchise RB in the last 10 years? Seattle is one, maybe Pittsburgh in 2006 with the Bus. When the team is built around a RB then you're not going to make it all the way. If they believe in Bridgewater then letting go of Peterson is imperative...you can't feature both players and featuring one over the other is a waste of one of them.
They are not sure that Teddy is the answer so they hedge their hopes by keeping AP. They don't realize that one has to go for the other to step forward, and AP would be the logical one to leave. They really should trade him; going to Chip Kelly and the Niners comes to mind. Get picks in return and build -- but they're not smert enough to do that.
You people are crazy. I know it is the vikings but you can't give away a star RB when you have a qb like Bridgewater. He wouldn't stand a chance without the defense having to at least honor the run.
So you're saying the Vikings are going to fail either way. I'm OK with that.
That is a comforting conundrum they're in.
Who said give away? You can trade your idot star running back if you are confident enough that your QB is a star or at least a star in the making. Lynch and Wilson survived together because Lynch was happier in the background and willing to let Wilson be the face of the team. AP is unwilling to let go of his role as top dog, and Teddy is willing to stand aside. If you really want your QB to be a star, Teddy has to grab the brass ring or AP has to stand aside. Neither of those has happened in three years, so they may have to force the issue if they really want Teddy to take over.
They pay Adrian Peterson quarterback money ($12 million this year, $18 million next year). It's not surprising he gets to be the top dog on that team. I don't really know how much of an effect all of that has on Bridgewater's performance. He sucked really hard without Peterson in 2014, and he sucked just as hard with him in 2015. 14 TD passes in 17 starts? That would have been considered bad in 1975. It's beyond putrid in 2015's pass-friendly rules. Maybe he just sucks.
