How sweet would this be? There is a shroud of secrecy about Tua's medical reports and his stock plummets like AR's did (although do we really why his did?).

Tua falls to the Pack, rehabs for a year and then sits a couple before taking over. HOF-er #3.

Tyler Biadasz will likely go later first round and not sure he would be a sexy pick but he’d be a fantastic pick to replace Linsley.

The draft bio on the guy basically does not describe any flaws other than he’s only 6’3” 320 and he’s a decent athlete but not an elite athlete lol.

Please tell me his name is pronounced "bad-ass".

He officially declared for the draft today and Kiper Jr has him rated as the 24th best draft prospect overall.

He’s good.  Very good.  Maybe not as good as Travis Frederick but he would be an instant (and much younger and cheaper) upgrade at center.

I think it will be fascinating to see if the Packers draft a QB at end of round 1 (5th year option). Assuming a good one is available.

TT drafted Rodgers during the year Favre turned 36.

I'll be there in Vegas to watch it happen live.

Tua may get medically flagged by many teams before the draft. If he's there at 28 or so, I'd take him. He'd probably sit out the entire 2020 season and then serve as a backup in 2021. Then make a decision on how to proceed in 2022. Rodgers contract basically runs until 2022 (he only counts 2 million in dead cap in 2023).

Biadasz would be a good pick. We X4 fans would have to eat a little crow after all the grief we gave Spielman for drafting a Center with their first pick(Garrett Bradbury). I'd do it, though, as I've heard crow tastes like chicken. Some other guys I like at Center, who will most likely fall later in the draft, are Cesar Ruiz of Michigan, Jack Hanson of Oregon, Darryl Williams of Mississippi State and Zach Shackleford of Texas. Ruiz and Williams can play Center or OG. The versatility there is appealing. I'd tend to want either Ruiz or Williams as a pick over Biadasz because we have Lucas Patrick as Linsley's back up, now, and he isn't too shabby. Also because we can draft some needed talent at ILB or WR with that 1st Round pick and grab a Center, a bit later. Ruiz or Williams would be able to take over for Billy Turner in a pinch, as well as for either Patrick or Linsley, at Center. It is time we addressed our O Line and depth there, for the long term. I'm hoping to see RG and RT, as well as Center, addressed sometime in this draft or in FA.

There are realistically 7-8 teams in the top 20 picks that could take a QB

The Bengals, Dolphins, Chargers, Panthers, Jaguars, Raiders, Colts, and Bucs are all possibilities.  The Patriots and Titans could be as well depending on what happens with Brady and Tannehill.

Tua is likely to be the 2nd or 3rd QB taken regardless of his medical condition.

Adding Biadasz would give them a lot of options on the OL.  They could slide out Turner to RT and play Patrick at guard and free up close to 15MM by letting Linsley go and not resigning Bulaga.

We need to keep that in mind given Kenny Clark status that someone has to go and I would be shocked if it wasn’t Linsley and Jimmy Graham.  Bulaga is nails but we are playing with house money given his injury history

Jake Fromm declared for the draft yesterday, joining both of his Tackles and LG who had previously.
He may create yet more shuffling of players in the first round.

His nickname should be State Farm.......Jake Fromm State Farm.........and he should wear khakis on draft day

The days of a "Rodgers falling" are over. Some team will either trade up or simply draft a player that has a first round grade.

You saw exactly (trade up) that with Mahomes & Watson getting picked in the 1st. Even Trubisky. 😆 That trade up still makes me laugh.

There will always be non-RD1 QB's that find success in the league, even elite status.  Much harder to find on draft day but they'll be out there.

Don't forget the versatility Jenkins gives us if they find another hat to play his spot.  He played C in college and may be better there than he even was at G this year.  Cole Madison seems to be hanging on by a thread but he's is hanging around.  Can't count on anything from him in early 2020 but there may still be a chance.

It depends on how many of those teams can let him sit for as long as two years before they get any return from him. If you are a GM or a coach on the hot seat, you don't want that.

Not a big fan. He has played with elite talent all around him.

There have been no such words uttered from Rodgers thus far.

Yeah, wait until his body completely goes, or until he does retire. No thanks, they need to prepare now,

You don't draft a potential franchise QB when you need one.  You draft one to groom for when the time comes.... exactly how TT took AR to learn behind Brent.

Given AR's age, not to mention his decline in performance, I'd be on board with taking a QB high in this year's draft.  If not this year, you damn near HAVE to do it the following year.

I don't know if it has to be a high draft pick.  Would you take Mitch Trubisky?  Ryan Leaf?  Tim Couch?  Akaili Smith?

Take a QB where the board says there's value.

Don't reach, that's what gets franchises in trouble.

Cough.  Christian Ponder.  Cough

All of the mock drafts, I have seen, have Fromm in the mix. Same with Tua, even though he is injured.

Not me. No QB in this draft, where we pick, is worth our pick at 30. Since we are drafting near #30, we need to get an impact player that falls to us at 30. So far that has been Kenneth Murray, ILB or a very fast WR, like Jalen Reagor, or a sure handed WR like Shennault, or an IDL like Javon Kinlaw or an IOL player like Biadasz. All this, unless Gute moves up the board to nab someone he cannot resist taking or trading for.

Oh man this is a tough one.  The Packers have to think down the road for replacing AR but there also is a glaring need at WR and ILB that will need to be addressed sooner rather than later.

As for Fromm I think he was a good not a great CFB QB but am I the only one who wasn't blown away by his time in college?

College stats/results don't always tell the story of a NFL QB prospect.  Does he have the skills and intangibles that can translate to the NFL?  Or does he at least have the potential - it's a crystal ball business.

The crowd clamoring for a high round QB - I'll do you one better.  You only draft that guy if it's a similar situation to what AR/TT were in.   Does a QB you had at the top of your board unexpectedly drop to ~#30?  Otherwise pass.  Too many immediate needs to get the current team/QB over the finish line before the next is ready to take the reigns.

Let's also not forget that GB's next QB may not be drafted by GB.  He could be an underdeveloped or mis-developed FA/trade/cut drafted and screwed up by another team.

The Packers are in win now mode and you don't win now with a backup in the 1st round. We already did that this year with Gary.

That may be what you or I do but GuteOrGone may have shown with Gary that he isn't afraid to draft for the future.  That said, he is starting to show why we drafted him at 12.  Let's see what happens Sunday.

Of the 8 remaining QBs the highest drafted was....wait for it.....Ryan Tannehill at 8.
