The decision to not really shut down the country back in late winter/ early spring is going to haunt our country for a long time. Schools, businesses and parents are all impacted and are unable to make plans any further down the road than tomorrow. The buck stops in the Oval Office but plenty of governors, local officials and just plain citizens have failed too.

I'll miss jump around and tuba time but not as much as businesses such as bars, restaurants and hotels in Big 10 cities will miss football Saturdays. Oh, and cities will miss that sales tax revenue too.

Wear a freakin mask and keep apart....it ain't hard.

That's going to get interesting.  Speculation is that CU begrudgingly agreed to the PAC 12's plan to cancel the fall season.  The thought being that things in Colorado were considered manageable to play a season, so why cancel it just because Arizona and California are struggling?  But I have to believe the PAC 12 said you're either with us or not.  And if not, see ya.

Curious what the Big 10 does with Nebraska if they do decide to play.  May work this year but what conference would want Nebraska to join once things are back to normal?  They aren't a national draw anymore and they're probably among the smallest TV markets in the nation.

Nebraska knows where their bread is buttered. They ain't leaving.

Mrs. Kiel happens to be friends with Rick George, CU's AD and a former PGA Tour exec. Haven't socialized with him in a few years although she stays in touch. If I should see him down the road, I'll be sure to ask him about the arm twisting.

It’s really stupid yet borderline hilarious how Scott Frost threw a public hissy fit about the Big Ten’s decision to postpone the football season.  Does he not understand the rules and bylaws of being a conference member of the B10?   They receive tens of millions of dollars a year from B10 media rights but are threatening to pull out?   I’d call his bluff.  Good luck winning that battle in the courts.

By the way Scotty, this isn’t 1997 anymore. Nebraska has been pretty damn mediocre since joining the conference and they’ve been awful during his tenure.   Maybe they should opt out and join the Mountain West conference where they might be able to actually compete.
