Timesfour never forgets...

That being said, it's a solid pick much like Bulaga was. Not a flashy, unlimited potential type pick, but I think at the very least we're going to get a good, solid lineman. It will be interesting to see where they put him because I'm of the opinion he would be a really good fit at RT. My hunch is that, if they think he's ready to play immediately, they will stick Sherrod at RT and move Bulaga to LG and back-up LT. I don't see Sherrod playing OG really...he has the size to play there, but never showed the strength in my opinion. Either way, our Oline just got a really solid addition.

Sherrod got tossed to the ground by Quinton Coples on a sack of Aaron Rodgers in the first quarter. A series later, he was beaten inside easily, surrendering a big hit on Rodgers

Sorry, I am not some apologist for Sherrod but if some rag like Bleacher Report is going to report on his performance, tell the whole damn story.

On the 4 yard sack by Coples, Rodgers held the ball way too long. On that sack, it was something like 6 seconds. On his 2nd sack, the Jets brought 7 to GB's 5 OL. On the third sack in the 4th Q, Rodgers held the ball 11 seconds. I don't give a rip if your Joe Thomas, an OL cannot hold back a DL for 11 freakin' seconds. That's forever and that is almost entirely on Rodgers.

Sherrod without a doubt has his growing pains and will need to prove he can continue to improve and get better. The one thing he's getting which is irreplaceable is playing time. No matter how hard he practices, nothing makes up for playing time. I hope Bulaga is back next week and he stays there for the remainder of the season. But Im also not ready to write off Sherrod just yet.
