Can't disagree that he appeared to focus on the business side at the expense of what was happening on the field. Think his misguided restructuring of responsibilities was just his reaction to his own shortcomings.

None of this is surprising.

It all shows on the field too.

Winning a Super Bowl is not easy. It truly does take an entire organization from top to bottom, all in sync.

The Packers structure right now completely sucks. Russ Ball needs to be a salary cap guy only. He should never be involved in choosing personnel.

Gutey has already proven he's getting the Pack back on track with an infusion of talent. They need about 2-3 more good drafts

MM needs to go back to HC school & learn how to manage a game clock.

Murphy needs to STFU & slink back into his chair. He reminding me more & more of Judge Parins.

Christ.....I should replace Murphy. I'm certain I could get things straightened out.

I believe, that Gutekunst will make the decision on the next HC, but Murphy will announce it. I believe that in 1-2 years from now Murphy will announce that Gutekunst has typical GM control.

I believe this year, with the power trio, was to appease a few key individuals, and I believe that was a big f**kin mistake. I believe Murphy knows that.

Yup...WMM is on thin ice with the board I believe based on several things, not the least of which, asleep at the wheel while Uncle Ted was meandering down Dementia Road.

He has to nail this hire or he gone.

You're not wrong about Murphy being on thin ice or at least that he should be on thin ice for allowing Thompson's incompetence to go on for as long as it did.

But at age 63 Murphy is going to be gone before long no matter what.

OK, 5 games in, they are 4-1. Yep, it's early.  Matt LaFleur hire.

Is it time to give him credit for this hire? Ya, Gutey may have had a little input, but this was really Murphy's hire.

As Timp mentioned, I watch football to see the genius of Murphy working with revenue streams.

If there is a clown that has benefited the most from others covering up is ineptitude it's him.  He can't be gone fast enough.

Russ Ball had absolutely benefitted from this shit show as well.   Gute has taken a pounding while the bean counter carries on.

If the rumors are true and Ball was given personnel responsibilities - that oh by the way included passing on TJW- then he should be fired yesterday.

WMM has an ego approaching the size of Jerruh.

Curious- what makes you say this? Because there’s a pretty canyon sized gap between these two men and their public persona. How does Murphy project an ego that compares?

I think Murphy could say something stupid on his own, but saying something stupid and hiding it behind a recently deceased Ted Thompson is particularly cowardly.

When I read the complicated fella comment, I heard it how Thompson would deliver a line like that with his east TX drawl. It doesn't sound stupid, and I can hear Bum saying something like that too. Murphy should not repeat things he doesn't understand.
