The Bucks have an interesting problem- both guys are clearly too good for G league, yet can’t really break into the rotation because they’re behind too many established players.

There’s been a lot of criticism of Wilson- he didn’t exactly show out his first season. But the Bucks just extended him through the remainder of his rookie deal for a reason- he is develop. His shot look better now than his rookie season. He’s showing lore athleticism. He’s gotten stronger. He could be a contributor by next season.

Wood has further to go to his ceiling, but it’s a higher ceiling. Like most young tall guys, he’s got to continue to develop his body. But length and athleticism, as well as a developed offensive game that is starting include elements of Giannis’ game (he did a little euro step through recently that was straight out of the Giannis playbook). And like Giannis early in his career, Wood is very slightly built. Weights, and experience.

Both guys would seem to represent important future assets. Wonder who their b/u stretch 5 and 4 will be next year? Both guys could develop into the depth the Bucks need as go forward. More shooting, more athletes... get that up and down the lineup and watch Giannis really take off...

Wood has looked decent whenever he’s gotten playing time.  He has a nice in and out game offensively and he rebounds like nobody’s business.

Wilson hasn’t had much of an opportunity given Ersan and Maker and Snell getting more minutes.  Snell has played better this year, but he’s still overpaid and if they could deal him that opens to the door for more minutes for DJ either at the 3 or 4.

Not sure if Wilson can guard SFs, though. At least Snell can guard 2s and 3s.

Wood is kinda becoming what we thought we’d see from Maker by now. He has a very smooth offensive game. He could develop into a 15-18 ppg scorer in a few years. Get 7-9 boards off the bench...

But Maker’s just not figuring out the game. He’s probably going to take all of his rookie deal getting a pro game, then he’ll be ready. The Giannis window is just opening though... kid turned 24 last week.

Giannis' window is open for another 6-7 years. The concern is that Giannis is only signed with the Bucks until the end of 2021.

He’s going nowhere... he’ll get super maxed and he’ll be a Bucks.

I hope you're right. I won't be convinced he's not going to be a Knick until he signs on the dotted line for his next contract. The Christmas day schedule could be interpreted in that context.
