Ryan Pickett- With BJ and Worthy able to handle the middle-I think Ryan may be gone.

Graham-Rogers backups his first year were unproven Flynn and Brohm. I think they already like Coleman better

Sam Shields-From Starter to being cut in one year. He just lost it after the New Orleans game last year. Not a big surprise.

-Starks-can't stay healthy-always dinged up. time to move on. Green, Saine, and Benson.

Pickett would be a big surprise and I don't see him going anywhere. He's durable assignment sure and is a good fit for this 3-4 D in the trenches.

Worthy hasn't played a down in the NFL and I think one of his biggest challenges early on will be not jumping offsides. Neal and Hargrove won't be available for 4-8 weeks and we all know Neals injury history. I can't see him going.

If Harrell goes, either Coleman makes major strides in the next 3 weeks or the Packers bring in a vet (e.g. Colt McCoy).

Speaking of, ESPN's Adam Schefter just wrote this:

Schefter: McCoy to Packers makes sense

A day after the Green Bay Packers signed former Bengals running back Cedric Benson, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter believes the Packers should look at the AFC North to fill another need: backup quarterback.

In his weekly mailbag, Schefter sees Browns quarterback Colt McCoy as a good fit for Green Bay. The Browns can trade McCoy because they have Seneca Wallace on the roster, and the Packers need an experienced backup to Aaron Rodgers.

This is what Schefter had to say about the potential of McCoy going to Green Bay:

If I were the Packers, I'd be on the phone right now, offering a fifth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for Colt McCoy, who some teams around the league really like. Cleveland would be willing to deal McCoy for the right price, no matter what it says, and the Packers could use McCoy as much as any team in the league right about now. He would be great insurance for Rodgers and give the Packers the type of backup they would need to sustain their playoff hopes in the event of an injury. I liked the Benson move -- a low-risk move that upgrades Green Bay's backfield. Benson has produced more than people realize. He can do the same for the Packers. But if I were with the Packers, landing McCoy would have me feeling better about the upcoming season.

I've said repeatedly that I would keep McCoy as the backup. He's a cheaper alternative to Wallace, who's scheduled to make $2.4 million this season. He's younger than Wallace. And he has just as much starting experience as Wallace after last season. But, if the offer was a fifth-round pick, it makes sense to trade McCoy for that level of compensation.
I'd give a 7th round pick for McCoy, nothing more.

They won't cut Pickett, he can still play and they want to give Raji fewer snaps.

Still don't understand why Shields would fall all the way off the roster. He's shown that he has the ability to play, you don't just throw away a guy with starter level talent. He needs an attitude change, nothing more. If riding the pine for a while doesn't change his attitude then release him after the season. Their depth isn't good enough at CB to toss out a talented player. Who do you keep over Shields? Brandian Ross? Anthony Levine? No, Shields makes it.

As for surprise cuts, I can't see any moves they could make that would surprise me. I won't be surprised to see Coleman kept over Harrell, they've gone into the season with a rookie before. If they like Coleman as much as they did in '08 then they will keep him.

Now, if you're asking what big names will be cut, I would look at OLB. Could easily see Erik Walden getting the boot...his reward hasn't be outweighing the risk lately. I think he's in competition with Zombo, and So'oto for a back-up spot. Nick Perry showing some real talent makes the decision to part with one or all of them a lot easier. I think Moses has done enough at this point to earn a spot, his upside is very intriguing. I think the rest of his camp would have to be awful for him to get cut.

If Andrew Datko improves at all I could definitely see Herb Taylor getting the boot. Can't see that though, especially if Taylor can back-up RT.

Agree. Floridarob underestimates Big Greasy's value in the locker room

Not only that, the Packers still don't know exacly what they have at DL. We all remember last year. We need to keep as many good DL players as we can. It could really screw us again especially now that Bishop is out and our linebacker corp doesn't look as good as it did.
GB gets a few extra players come 53 man time - Walden for 1 game; Neal for 4 games; Hargrove for 8 games. This lowers the odds for surprise cuts. All three of these players are (somewhat) known commodities and should allow the Packers opportunity to play a younger (somewhat) unknown player for a game or more - not preseason.
Right now the Packers have only two proven Defensive Linemen, and since that position has been red flagged as a problem area, cutting one of those two guys would indeed be a surprise. If more than one of the young guys pans out this year, however, Pickett could get cut next year. He'll be 33, scheduled to make $6.4 million, and in the final of year of what is almost certainly his last contract with the Packers (given the long list of players that will hit the market at the same time Pickett does). But that's next year.
Between the suspended list, PUP list, IR, the 53 man roster, and the PS, TT will cut very few. He will manage players between those 5 places. With 18 guys already out, he will probably need them all.
I wasn't the biggest Ryan Pickett appreciator until last year. Seeing how the Packers' run defense performed when he was out with injury really opened my eyes to how important he is. I think even this year, he'll still be important though the Pack finally may have some options if he goes down.
My predictions--

Florida Rob gets cut for questioning Big Greasy's value.

Henry gets cut because...well, just because he's Henry.

Pkrs goes to PS because of that annoying avatar.

Oh, and as for that bastard RoyalWulff! Well................??????

I'll say Rodgers, Crosby and Mike McCarthy. Any of those would really surprise me.

Not me. Rodgers is over 27 now and the history of Green Bay QBs show us that once they don't win a Super Bowl in a season after they're 27 it's all over. They should have kept Flynn if they really wanted another Lombardi. Razzer
I think Jones will likely stick given his ability to play ILB / OLB and he's on all the special teams as well. I think he was the leading tackler on ST last year

With number 3 OLB Walden out the first game, Jones presence is required

Zombo is toast and will probably be picked up by the LB-needy vikes. So'Oto didn't make the leap from year 1-2, so he's likely gone as well
