Since the 8-2 start at the beginning of the year that’s basically what they are.

Losing Wahl and Knebel to injuries are/were a big deal.   Chacin regressed and Burnes and Peralta haven’t made the leap. Jeffress also missed time and doesn’t seem to have the same zip on his fastball.

You add all that up and it tells the story.

The real question is would a couple of moves to bolster the pitching make this team a real contender this season?  If Stearns doesn’t think so they may just let it ride.

Just really sad to see. The Brewers are sucking it right now. You cannot win without pitching, and we needed an Ace LAST YEAR! Nelson, our Ace, was never replaced. Why we let Miley walk to HOU is beyond me. Agree, the Knebel loss was crushing for the pen, and he never was replaced, either.

They MUST add pitching, or the Cain, Yelich, Moose, Grandal signings were all for naught. Is that what Attanasio wanted? Or, does he want a World Series Championship? The dream is lost without pitching.

If they’re going to let it ride, start selling. Jeffress, Moustakas, Arcia, even Gamel, if Aguilar gets hot sell high... pull the plug and start on 2020 with some pitching acquisitions in the off season. They had a shot last year. This year they’re regressing, so set up 2020 and don’t waste the assets on lost years. Get something for them because they can’t afford to bring them all back anyway.

I agree the bullpen is just awful right.  Go for it in 2020.
