F'um Bucky !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(and that ain't the Captain talkin)
Go get'em boys, win or Lose you guys have been a pleasure to watch ... but lets frickin win !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty obvious early on the refs were going to let them play. Unlike other years, Bucky responded. Really nice ball moment and some good interior defense.
Just keep it up and play tomorrow.
Frank looking slow today, must of choked 1 off this morning ...
But Bucky kickin arse and takin names later ...
F'um Bucky !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not much to say. Bucky played way better. I'd like to see them make more free throws.
I just love the way Hayes is playing. He gets better every game. Bronson finally showed what a shooter he is too. Not too worried about Gasser and Jackson. They just didn't need them tonight. This team should be an Elite Eight team IMHO, maybe further even. One their best night they can play with anybody. However they won't sneak up on anybody like Bennett's Final Four team did.
This may have been their best effort of the entire season. Very solid play on both sides of the ball and their intensity was awesome. The Badgers put the pedal to the metal and didn't let up. Now it's M$U today and if they can get past the Spartans I think they win the BT tourney.
The loss probably is the nail in the coffin for the Gophers as well. MN likely had to win this game to make the tourney but they were already a bubble team before getting blown out. Personally, if I were on the selection committee I'd leave Iowa at home too. They've been in a tailspin for weeks now.
What impressed me was that the Goofers made a big run in the first half...but the Badgers responded without panicking. We were up 21-9 and all of a sudden the Goofs had tied us (or taken a lead...I forgot now).
But we made a few stops and hit some threes and bingo...we're up by 10 again.
That is what makes this win special in my opinion. If we can continue to play good defense and run the offense, we can go far in the tourney.
