True Story...circa 1995 I'm at home listening to the Brewers on WEVR out of River Falls...the local announcer says he has Brewer tickets for the 15th caller.  I called and the guy says you're "number 1".  I called again and he said you're number 2".  I called and he said "number 3....12 calls later and I had tickets to a pair of games a couple of weeks later.

I don't know if that speaks more to the popularity of the Brewers at the time or the listenership of WEVR

I also listen to WEVR from Hudson. What a great mom and pop station! There's so much dead air, when I first started listening, that I thought I hadn't tuned in properly. At least they cover the Brewers, Badgers and The Packers. That's more than and better than anything we get from across the St.Croix.

WEVR could be a the most hilariously boring sit-com ever.  I love it when they try to up their tempo for certain ads or events.  It's ****ing hilarious.  When they play music you can go from Peter Cetera to Def Leopard or even Lawrence Welk/Polka.  It's absurdly good camp.

WEVR, your friendly neighbor in the valley.

WEVR

By far my favorite is the local high school basketball game broadcasts.

Rainbow Jumpers galore

This. Still haven’t forgotten watching him breaking down emotionally after a similar “innocent” hit last year. One of the toughest scenes I’ve ever watched play out during a game.

Thats the thing about concussions. The next one is a little “easier” to get. Things just deteriorate from there.

Agreed he needs to give some thought about putting the NFL behind him.
