Who the hell is the doofus that does the pre and post game interviews on ESPN?
He has more dead air than words.
I wish Tennis Channel had the US Open. Cliff Drysdale is incredibly annoying.
I think I'd rather see Vandeweghe in the final, but if Madison Keys' gorgeous sexy overbite turns you on, more power to you....
For I think the fourth time this season, Simona Halep is one match away from the world #1 ranking. She gets Jelena Ostapenko again. Halep could have reached number one by beating Ostapenko in the French Open final, but even though she was up a set and had break points to go up 4-0 in the second, she blew it.
So Halep won the semifinal to get to #1 and then promptly lost the final.
I was actually hoping Caroline Garcia would lose the QF to Svitolina because a final between Halep and Svitolina would have been for the #1 ranking either way. And Svitolina had a match point against Halep in the French Open QF.
There's going to be a four-way race for the year-end #1, though, with Halep and Muguruza effectively tied going into the YEC.
