Who knows, if Adams had stayed maybe things would have worked out differently with Rodgers. You know Adams leaving really pissed Rodgers off. The 8-9 season without Adams might have removed any doubt about the Packers being a sinking ship in his mind.

I have no clue what the Raiders were thinking running Carr off. He was about as dedicated to the Raiders as anybody could be and certainly the main reason Adams went there. He's much better than Jimmy G. and now they have a disgruntled WR who will probably work his way out of town. Who thought we'd even be hearing trade rumors concerning Adams already?

I wonder what Adams thinks about the Raiders running off Carr and ending up with Jimmy G.? We know that's not what he signed up for. He might force his way out again.

I hope Adams goes to Kansas City so bad

If you are going to run off Derek Carr, you either have to get one of the young QBs to develop from the draft that Adams' presence can accelerate their development (for example, imagine the benefit Jordan Love would have had from this) or get an upgrade. The Raiders went and got the Walmart version of Carr in Jimmy G.

The Adams/Rodgers dynamic was always interesting. Part of the challenge in dealing with Adams' situation was not knowing what Rodgers wanted to do. As many of us on this board have said, if you knew you were going to keep Rodgers in 2022, you should have kept Adams as well. If you were going to trade Rodgers, then you also trade Adams. It made no sense to keep Rodgers and trade Adams, which has lead many to speculate that the plan might have been to trade Rodgers to Denver in spring 2022 for the Russell Wilson package. The front office split the difference and potentially wasted several seasons by not finding out about Jordan Love earlier. If Love was in his second season as the starter now, you could have made a much more informed decision about his future. Instead, they had to give him another year on his contract for 2024.
