Not sure how many of you have heard of Young Life and maybe had children who were involved in it or maybe you were also. Young Life is a non-denominational Christian ministry that reaches out to adolescents through volunteers, staff, club meetings, and camps by building meaningful relationships with kids. My daughter was involved in Young Life in high school and became a leader in college. There's a good story about Aaron Rodgers in the latest Young Life magazine that I thought I would share.

Was Brandon Underwood packler people? Was Jonny Jolly packler people? Was Brett Favre packler people? Was Mark Chmura packler people? Was Mossy Cade packler people? Was Nick Barnett packler people?

They all were packler people, right? Stop pretending like being a packler makes them some kind of upstanding citizen... Roll Eyes

So only people that you deem worthy of being "packer people" get the billing? That doesn't really make any sense, does it?

They are all "packer people". But you need to keep alive the perception that "packer people" are just good human beings. Everybody that plays for the packers is a good human being. That's just who the packers are.

"packer people"

Everybody throws around the term. How about somebody define "packer people" for me.

Probably one of the dumbest labels ever.
envy (nv)
enΒ·vie
1a. A feeling of discontent and resentment aroused by and in conjunction with desire for the possessions or qualities of another.

Fits you like a custom made tampon Jaymo.

The NFL office in New York has a fantastic display in their lobby. It's a huge glass display case of every ring for every Super Bowl winner starting with the Green Bay Packers in 1967. Not a replica, but the exact ring each team received.

Why would I mention this to a Viking fan? Becasue it's funny. It's really funny.

And if you're ever in NY, you might want to scratch NFL Office off the "To Do" list. You probably wouldn't like it.

THE FOUNDATION FOR THE NEW DIRECTION OF THE GREEN BAY PACKERS WILL BE CONSTRUCTED WITH THREE KEY COMPONENTS OF OBTAINING "PACKER PEOPLE," CREATING "STABLE STRUCTURE" AND CONCENTRATING ON "CHARACTER AND CHEMISTRY."

A POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT WILL BE CREATED WITH "LEADERSHIP" THAT KEEPS ITS EYE ON THE TARGET OF ESTABLISHING A CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL TEAM.

THE DIRECTION WILL BE FUELED WITH CONSTANT COMMUNICATION TO ENSURE EVERYONE IS ON BOARD. WE WILL ATTACK THE VOYAGE WITH ENERGY AND ENTHUSIASM TO OVERCOME THE OBSTACLES THAT WE WILL ENCOUNTER.

THIS VISION IS ENHANCED WITH RESOURCES AND TRADITION THAT STANDS IN THE FOREFRONT OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS ORGANIZATIONS.

I AM HONORED AND PRIVILEGED FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD THE GREEN BAY PACKERS ON A NEW JOURNEY BACK TO THE PINNACLE THAT BEARS THE NAME OF "COACH LOMBARDI."

Those who do not fit this description, are either not welcome or do not stay in GB long if they are lucky enough to get there.
Internet Troll:

A person whose sole purpose in life is to seek out people to argue with on the internet over extremely trivial issues. Such arguments can happen on blogs, Facebook, Myspace and a host of others.
The best thing you can do to fight an internet troll is to not answer..or report them.
"God, Jeromy won't stop posting about Larry's bad spelling in that conversation."
Jaymo,

If posting here serves as an outlet of anger and frustration for a lifetime spent in support of a team that has let you down time after time (but doesn't expect or deserve your tax dollars), then let it out man!!! Think of this site as a big ol' fluffy multiple championship pillow that's ok with soaking up the tears of Viking failure.

Never forget, every year is a new opportunity! Even if the odds are 50/1 against it!
Jaymo has no idea what the concept is. His team understands though because every off season they try to pilfer what Packer people they can get to fill out their pitiful roster. Still at the end of the day it doesn't work because the foundation of their organization isn't grounded on the things that make Packer People...character and accountability. I would also say that Packer People has taken a much more prominant role since Ted Thompson has taken over. It is one trait of his leadership that I hope stays with the club even after he leaves.....

Character and accountability.

Like Brett Favre. Mark Chmura. Mossy Cade. Jonny Jolly. Brandon Underwood.

Character and accountability.

"packer people"

Man you are a riot. Chmura never played for the Packers again after his romp in the Hot Tub. I believe Wolf cut him that same week. Mossy Cade never played for the Packers again after his episode. But embarrasingly that was during The Forest Gregg years when Packer Players had to go through the Vikings Character Class before they could be Packers. Favre did a great job snowing the legions of Packer fans but now he is exiled to Kilndom for a life without fullfillment because his exploits and pettiness. And Favre was never accountable. He did what he did and usually blamed others. Jolly only hurt himself. We will see if he ever plays again for the Packers. Brandon Underwood was on the way out the door and his stupidity accelerated his exit.

You have Packer People now in Greg Jennnings. If his character and accountability rub off on other Viking players, your team may finally be learning. But knowing hte Viking organization the way we all know it, Jennings will probably be hosting a strip poker game with Viking players and prostitutes on the Viking Love Boat rented by Zygi and Company.

So in conclusion, "packer people" is just a cute little figment of our imagination that we like to use to coddle ourselves. "We" will continue to alter your posts as long as you point out what an utter fallacy it is.

I guess we've solved the mystery of "packer people".

Somewhat different than claiming they are "packler people".

They are NFL players. I don't expect them to be angelic. But........if they play for the packlers, they must be the upper echelon.

packler people. Roll Eyes
