Well, here we go. A superstar, an improving player in a contract year, another trying to salvage his reputation, another trying to get his first deal, and a gang of bench players who can actually play. Oh, and a former COTY who has a more balanced level of talent than he’s ever had to coach.

Should be a 50 win season, right?

Add in the LeBron-less Eastern Conference and a top 4 seed too, right?

The Bucks have surrounded Giannis with shooting and more shooting. Coach Budenholzer preaches pace, pace, pace, which kick Giannis’ numbers into another stratosphere. If the preseason is any indication, they’re going to slaughter teams pretty regularly in the EC.

So why should we be apprehensive? Because it’s the Bucks. Last year was supposed to be 50 wins and a top 4 seed- BY February they traded their star PF, fired their coach, and finished with 45 wins. But the Boston series should have restored at least a little hope- they should be better now.

Over/Under for wins is set at 48. Take the over. The Bucks time has finally come...

You know, it’s an interesting perspective in that a fair amount of national media coverage has adopted that same apprehension despite some pretty significant upgrades.  Namely Lopez at the 5 and Ersan at the 4.  And coach Bud.

It’s totally fine with me.  Let them talk about LeBron.  Or the Celtics.  Or the Warriors dynasty.  Or the young guns in Philly.  Or Houston’s redemption.  It will only help this Bucks team as I think they are flying under the radar somewhat.

How about Christian Wood?  He had a great summer league and has parlayed it into a very good preseason.  19 points in 16 minutes last night and he’s like the 7th or 8th option on the team.

Bucks crushed the Wolves and it wasn’t even that close.  Up 30 in the midway through the 3Q.

I don’t expect the Bucks to shoot 50% from 3pt range but if they shoot like that it’s going to be really tough to beat them.

Definitely  a quality find. He’s one of the few guys whose summer league play has translated. Long and athletic- can shoot, defend... he has a chance to be a strong rotation guy as an understudy to Ilyasova.

The lynchpin to this might be Bledsoe... he’s playing fantastic. When he’s blowing by guys and grilling opponents PGs that sets the tone. The Bucks always play well when he’s making plays. That just feeds Giannis.

Fiserv needs to be a home court advantage... so far so good.
