Or, maybe six games and we won't have to face him.
Cowboys' RB Ezekiel Elliott is being suspended 6 games, per source.

GOOD!!!
Awesome
Great news. The Cowboys are much less dangerous without Elliot. They're going to struggle in those six games without him.
And we play the girls wk 5.
(I know youse knew)
Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones is said to be furious with NFL decision, per one source. Furious.

Boo-hoo.
Zeke appeals.
Zeke meets with Goodell in NY.
Goodell reduces suspension to three games.
We've been down this road before.

It won't be six games...trust me

Bingo. I think he's back for the Packers game. Hopefully a little rusty.

I'm betting it's reduced from six to four games, and the Packers will be his return date, with lots of motivation. Always seems to work that way.
Dallas has Zeke or Dallas doesn't have Zeke. I really don't give a schit. As long as the offense is firing and healthy (no Jordy when GB beat Dallas in playoffs) GB might hang 50 on Dallas D. Zeke can run till he pukes for all I care. It won't matter.
Oh, I ASSURE you he'll be back for the Packer game
RATINGS!!
You mean the Packers alone aren't a ratings draw?
The Packers are, they just need him for the Dallass hype machine.

If that was THE factor he would be back for MNF in week 3. That game will need a boost.
I think the 6 sticks.
Appeal always gets a reduction. My guess is it gets dropped to 3 or 4.
NFL has really cleaned up the process since the Ray Rice debacle and I think the six holds as well.
I hope the 6 sticks as well. Dude had become a loose cannon and needs to pay the price.

I agree. Maybe I just want it to stick, but the NFL has to toe such a fine line with these domestic violence cases that I feel like they may stick to their guns.
Re NFL suspensions: know that while one owner gets upset (no matter how influential) many others support decision. Commish works for all 32.

31; Goodell doesn't give a damn about the Packer stockholder-owners.

And I would bet really good money his suspension is knocked down to 4 games. I hope the NFL sticks to their guns but the Cowboys and Jerruh are just too powerful of a force in the league.
How long does it typically take to hear an appeal?
4 weeks or less, no impact to the games missed.
7 weeks, he could get reduced to 3 and still miss Packer game.
12 weeks, could miss games during the playoff push.
Long story short, this could actually ending up hurting the Boys or/and he could win the appeal and still miss the Packer game.
Behind that Dallas O-line, I don't think it matters that much. They have Alfred Morris, who was no slouch when with the Redskins. I may be in the minority, but I believe Zeke ins't the running back beast he seems without the O-line. Look what happened to DeMarco Murray.
Tell that to Clay Matthews...
NFLPA court filing: "Arbitrator Henderson has now advised the parties that he intends to issue his decision by the close of business today."

Giants have got to be ****ing pissed with Goodell.
Works for me tho.
I'm glad that it is at least costing him money to defend himself. I'll bet his "legal team" are indeed "ready to fight".
I can't consider it closed until it runs its course through the courts.
Maybe he will ultimately serve a 4 game suspension, making him unavailable until Week 7....
So if he plays this week and even if the suspension is reduced to 4 games he will miss the Packer game for sure.
I could see this turning into Starcaps 2.0. Zeke is going to get an injunction filed and fight this all year.
I'll bet he plays all 16 games this year. This is a lonnnnnng way from over.
Starcaps was under the last CBA. I think Roger and crew are on firmer legal ground in these matters now under the new agreement.
How can he win on appeal? I thought the CBA clearly gives Baddall the sole authority to hand out suspensions and be the sole arbitor?

How 'bout dem Cowboys!!!
At 2-3 now with Zeke, they could be on the outside looking in at playoff time, especially with Philly and Washington looking better.
