There's no doubt the league wants another game. Cleveland is shooting unconscious & getting every call.

More revenue for the league. I expect much more of the same in game 6.

NBA

But here's the thing- the Cavs are playing the exact same way they have been, and the Warriors two best interior defenders are not on the floor. Bogut won't be back, but when Green is back it'll be quite different for dipsh*t 1 and 2...

GS missed a ton of open looks tonight...

Now all the commentators are slobbering over LeBron again. He and Kyrie hit shots last night, but the Warriors played essentially the entire game without 2 of their 3 best inside defenders. Obviously Green didn't play and then Bogut played 8 minutes. LeBron should dominate in that context.

I've loved watching the NBA playoffs my whole life, but if the Cavs come back and win this I may not watch again for a while. The whole thing is tainted by LeBron basically begging the NBA to suspend Green. If LeBron was a true competitor what he should have said publically after Game 4 was "Draymond may have swung his arm at me and it wasn't right, but we want to come back and beat them with no excuses, so I hope the NBA doesn't suspend him." Instead, it seems like he threw a fit privately with the NBA office and that might have swung the series, especially now that Bogut is probably out. Bogut isn't on the floor in key times, but his 20 minutes a game are a key because their "death lineup" requires Barnes, Iguodala, and/or Green to match up against big guys. They can do that for 15-20 minutes a game, but they wear down if they have to exceed that. Bogut eating minutes and fouls being physically contribute to their ability to play that lineup in crunch time.

You knew Cleveland would perform well if Green was out because he's such an important member of that team - with his D and rebounding and energy.   He can be a bit annoying, but he is really underrated and it allows Curry and Thompson to do their thing.

I kind of had a feeling after the Green suspension that someway, somehow, we'd see a Game 7.  Well, that's exactly what we have and at this point nothing surprises me anymore. There are too many examples of this same scenario happening in the NBA playoffs and what a storyline it would be - LeBron returns to his hometown to finally bring the factory of misery a championship - with the drama of being down 3-1.  You can't make it up.

Golden State didn't help themselves one bit in Game 6 by playing like **** for a good portion of the game, but the foul situation with Curry turned the tables (just like the Green suspension).  Go figure!

I was actually neutral on this series and just wanted to watch some good basketball. I am disgusted now. Suspend Green after LeBron begs for it in Game 5. Make sure Curry is taken out of Game 6. Let the Cavs hold Curry and Thompson on screens.

I think the NBA wants Game 7 obviously, but also wants the LeBron/Cleveland angle to work. They'll nudge Game 7 in that direction if they can. All it will take is a couple of ticky tack fouls on Curry or Iguodala.

Of course they want to see LeBron come home to Cleveland and eventually win a title.  It's his destiny - and it gets him off the hook (somewhat) for failing a number of times to win championships ala Jerry West.

My gripe is let them earn it - don't giftwrap it.  They gave the Cavs game 5 by suspending Green.  They  helped the Cavs big time in game 6 by getting Curry to foul out.  What floored me even more is I thought off the ball contact was outlawed but what I saw yesterday was like watching the Knicks under Riley or the 76ers or Pacers under Larry Brown.  Tons of handchecking and grabbing - which oh by the way isn't great defense.
