Love this from Vince:

Thats Kramer and Thurston leading the way.

That diagram below is messed up, Both Guards pull on the power sweep, like jerry and fuzzy above. But lookit the right tackle--where the heck is he going? Never seen a blocking diagram like that before--he's gonna mess up the play

LOL... He is running around in the secondary trying to distract the 4 players lined up over there covering the 1 WR.

or... is that a reverse pull? run around the linebackers on the oppositions side of the LOS to come back and crack block someone chasing the ball carrier from behind?
That diagram isn't necessarily messed up. In a day when a team would have a play fore each situation, Lombardi had one basic play - with many variations. I once read three volumes on football that Lombardi wrote in the university library. He diagramed all the variations of the sweep and then diagramed all the different plays that came from it that took advantage of a thing or two that the defeense was doing. He explained all the keys for which of those plays to use. As for the sweep, every player had to able to think and react as the play developed. It has been a lot of years since I've looked at those books, so all the details are sketchy. But I remember the main ideas. That play is most likely for real.
Ya our paper does the same thing Janikowski and Weems and a couple of other guys from our area

How bad are we? We lost to Mandarin (Nice School pool and everything)

We play Sandalwood next week they have that DE going to Bama, and a guy going to LSU. Another running clock play game for us

Too easy to defend in todays NFL because of the speed on defense. Plus its an easy read for the defenders all they have to do is watch the guard pull and they know the play and its direction. If you pull away from a LB like CM3 he just comes down the line and cleans up the play from backside
