Eli and offense can be explosive, but haven't scored big this season. The most points scored was 28 vs the Eagles early November. They scored 27 vs the Browns at the end of that month, and haven't been anywhere close to that to since. As close as they came was 19, in each of their last 2 games to round out their season, and that just happens to be their average points/game scored.
The Packers average 27 points/game for context.
I think that is a direct reflection of their poor OL play, which has hurried throws from Eli....and that's exactly what our DL has to take advantage of. They're not giving up many sacks, yet are only producing mediocre amounts of yards. My guess is there are a lot of quick passes underneath to avoid opponent's pass rush, but their WRs or TEs aren't getting any YAC. So, yeah, ILB play and S support to contain those plays will be paramount.
FWIW. their rushing game sucks. In spite of no "real" RB, we average almost 20 yards more per game. Normally, I'd say this really plays to the strength of our defense, but this year.....is it going to be the defense that shut down Seattle or they one that was raped by the Redskins that shows up?
