Philbin had a different background from McCarthy and was from a different tree and I think he gave McCarthy a different perspective...all the guys now are from the Holmgren/McCarthy tree aside from the new RB and TE coach.

I've thought about this before too GD. I think Philbin was much more instrumental in the success of our offense than many of us knew or gave him credit for.
