When these GM's make a deal with each other...it's about more than just that current deal. They develop relationships with each other because they both know future deals will be important.
Just like when TT fleeced Belichick (BB drafted that Florida WR, who was garbage) and TT drafted Greg Jennings after the trade down.
When the 2009 draft hit & NE was on the clock, TT traded up and gave BB an EXTRA 3rd rounder and told BB, "I'm going to give you the extra 3, Bill. I know we kind of got you on the 2006 draft."
That extra 3rd was the pick the Pack got for Favre to the Jets
The TT draft pick in 2009? Clay Matthews of course.....and the rest is history.

Boris: That trade where the Patriots drafted Chad Jackson and the Packers drafted Jennings was the year of School Girl "Crushes" Jennings to GB was a pretty open secret and I think Jackson was as well. I recall Wolfe gave Belichick
his choice of the picks and the Patriots paid for the higher one because they feared other teams were in love w/ Jacksons speed!
