Right now I really don't give a ****. After 26 years at the same employer, our entire department has been told we've been cut to 6 month contracts and new job descriptions, and if they don't like the way we're performing in our new jobs, Dec. 23rd will be our last day. A helluva "thank you" for 26 years of service. So if it all ends a few days later, I'm ready! Mad
Thanks, Boris. Yes, there's been some talk about that. I'm playing the game, and they'd better watch their step, because I have a lot of supporters...I've been nominated for top employee out of 700+ for 3 of the last 5 years, so I won't make it easy on them. Several, people are opting for early retirement rather than dealing with the constant BS and pressure, but I need health insurance cuz my wife is practically disabled with health problems.

In the meantime I keep lots of documentation, and look at outside options as well. All I need is 5.5 yrs and then I can retire. My employer has forced a lot of guys my age into early retirement, and I think an ageism suit is an option.
