They'll win 12-13 games in the regular season, but I'm more concerned about playoff wins. Winning 3 (or 4 if they fail to get a bye) of those is what matters.

I hope the Packers finish strong and earn a first round bye. Unlike last year this team is currently a work in progress. So I hope to see a mush better team at the end of the year.

No, no and no. The '73 'Phins, coming off an undefeated year, went 12-2 the next year and lost in the playoffs (and that in a 14-game schedule). Even the 2008 Pats, the year after going 18-1, went 11-5 and didn't make the playoffs. It's just too hard to put together a string of undefeated or one-loss seasons.

I'd be happy if we went 12-4 and won the Super Bowl.

Last year was too easy for them. The offense looks like they thought it would just automatically happen again, and it has not been that easy. This is a good thing. Work on it now, peak later.

After losing MVP Brady for the season in game one. If we are talking about the Packers without Rodgers then it's a whole different game.

The 1973 Dolphins crushed the Vikings in the Super Bowl. They went to three in a row in the early 70s, losing the first to the Cowboys and then defeating the Redskins and Vikings in the latter two.

I can see a real scenario where the Packers land Joe Thomas. I don't think they'd have to give up the farm for him. Of course, my scenario doesn't happen for another 7-7-8 years. Think about it....whoever thought 5 years ago that the Packers would get perennial Pro-Bowler Jeff Saturday!

What a difference one week makes and while it was great to see them pound the Bears the truth is that this team is probably somewhere in between the Bears and Niners game(s). We still haven't seen them put forth a great offensive effort, but it would be difficult to believe they can play any better on D than they did last week.

As far as the record thing, as cool as 15-1 was last year it meant nothing after the early exit from the playoffs. I'd rather they go 10-6 and win a few playoff games than go 15-1 and lose right away in the postseason.

If I had to look at their scheudle the rest of the year my guess is that they'll finish with 11 or 12 wins. They'll lose a couple of games we don't expect, but they should end up in pretty good shape anyway.

Yeah, 15-1 sounds pretty ridiculous. We can see now that last year's 15-1 was a mirage -- they were probably an 11-win team that got pushed to 15 by a QB having a freakishly productive, once-in-a-lifetime season. Now that Rodgers has settled back into "mere" excellence, somewhere between 10 and 12 wins this year seems most realistic.

I started the thread for merely "fun" purposes, but I do think this year's team, with Week 2's lineup, is better than the 2011 team.

No reason they can't run the table, but 13-3 is more "realistic" and leaves some "room for error."

I don't think they lose to the 'Niners again.

11-5 seems about right. Of course no one can predict injuries, both ours & opponents, which can be a major factor in each individual game. If the Seattle crowd brings the emotion they did in the playoffs last season, losing up there would not shock me.
