One of those games where you can readily see if the OL is maintaining a 'clean' pocket.

Starr stayed pretty damn clean.

His knees were dirty from holding for extra points and field goals though.

That pussy Rodgers never got his knees dirty.

Good stuff.  Just listening to Ray Scott is relaxing.  

The 1950's: When All-Pros smoked Marlboros, road games required three days travel by rail and tackling was (almost) unrestricted.

This is THE game that made me a Packer fan! Six years old, my father and brother were Browns fans & I just had to be the rebel!

That's pretty funny.  I have a nephew who became a Giants fan for the exact same reason much to the chagrin of his Vikings fan father.

I remember this game and could not sit still while it was in progress.  This game had some of the same elements that todays games have.  Refs throwing flags the fans don't agree with.  There was no question on the roughing the kicker penalty.  Plays that were almost made by both sides.  Things that just happen for no discernable reason - like Ryan's stumbling before he could get the first down.  Etc.

One thing I noticed this time was Hornung came out in the second half with a clean jersey on.  I did not notice if that was true for other players.
