3 some times 4 channels, unless your dad was a technophile,  and you had an antenna rotor! Growing up along the Mississippi,  we mainly had northeast Iowa channels. WMT carried the Vikings, so the weather had to be just right to watch channel 3, and it was mostly a snowy picture. If only we lived on the bluff instead of the river bottom.

Growing up in northern Wisconsin, we could only get the Duluth, MN/Superior,WI stations to come in clearly with our rotor. We could not get the Twin Cities stations to come in at all. Once we turned our rotor westward during a big storm front that spread across several states and picked up a station from Pocatello, Idaho, due to their signal bouncing off the clouds. The Superior station, an NBC affiliate, I believe, would broadcast Packer games. The Duluth stations would broadcast them when the play offs came around. I watched the Ice Bowl game when they had the Packers on. My Dad was a "technophile," back then, so we experimented a lot with TV and radio reception issues.

Old people, chime in.

Ammo?

Thanks for the video - brought back some memories.

The Vikings DT Sutherland - who had a good game - was from Superior State - a D3 school.  Superior State became UW Superior in 1972 - the first year of the UW college system.

Yes I remember party lines.
