Jordy had 15 TD catches, which was third all time for GB. Number one was Sharpe in 1994 with 18, which was hardly a surprise since he was basically the whole offense during that time. What stunned me was number two - Don Hutson with 17 in 19frickin42. You kidding me? 70 YEARS AGO? I wish I could go back in time and see for myself just how good this guy was.

They had 51 this season.

How many did NE have when Brady threw 50?

Brady was the only one to throw a TD for the Pats that year, so it would appear that the two headed monster of Rodgers-Flynn have it!
I was curious about Jordy's season (in perspective) so I looked up Randy Moss as a comparison.

Moss only had 2 seasons that were better than Nelson in terms of TDs and YPC. 1998 and 2000. His rookie year was probably his best in terms of TDs (17) and YPC (19).

Nelson finished with 15 TDs and 18.6 YPC

Not bad for a slow, white, possession WR. ROTTT!! Mad

+1

I am still amazed it took 40+ years for Steve Largent to become the only other WR with 99 TDs.
