Put one hand in dirt. Move forward at snap of ball. Try to tackle whoever has the ball.

He's my hero. What can I say?
I wonder if any GM's took Tretter off their board because they were concerned with his sliding ability.

Sounds as easy as a fumble recovery. Of course, the way this team tackled two years ago, I don't believe they practiced any tackling that year.
At the beginning of the first practice each year, UCLA coach John Wooden had the team sit in the bleachers and learn how to put on their socks and tie their shoes.
Fundamentals baby!!!! Dynasty from the ground up.

The Jets did. TT better pay attention to the tendancies of the other teams.
The Jets have been sliding for years.
Your right Shoeless Joe.
This could have been avoided if he would have stretched his ankle and ankle ligaments better. We need better stretching exercises.
Mmm hmm, fire the strength and conditioning guys. One could be seen diving at Tretter's ankle. Barbara.
Anyone want to bet on who the casualty will be today?
I'll go with Graham (hang nail) Harrell.

you post like a commatose fan
They did the same fumble drills last year and no one broke an ankle. I didn't hear anyone complain about how pointless the drill was then...
Heck, with 2 rookie RBs, fumble recoveries might be a crucial part of the O this year. Forward thinking.
9ers Crabtree just blew out his achilles. What are these coaches thinking making players run?!? They already know how to run! Fools.
Word is he was shot in the leg by one of the Packers conditioning coaches. FINALLY, the are picking on players for other teams.
New CBA, less contact/fewer practices.
Coaches trying to do too much with the less time?

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers added another wide receiver to their group, signing Alex Gillett out of Eastern Michigan.
Gillett, listed by the team at 6-foot-1 and 214 pounds, was mostly a quarterback in college, starting 30 games at that position. He only started three games at wide receiver, catching 14 passes for 132 yards.

Campen downplayed the challenge that it's been for the players in his position group.
"It's only difficult if you make it difficult," Campen said. "It's football. Really, these kids have had a lot of work in IPWs (Individual Player Workouts) β getting in a left-handed stance and the guys in the right getting in a right-handed stance. There's a process that you go through and muscle memory and those things." continue
