Ted Thompson for good reason went heavy defense the last 3 drafts and it's showing now. That secondary is really going to be something.

But Jordy coming back in 2016 is not the be all and end all of fixing this offense. They need some real talent infusion at WR and TE.

If Abbrederis wasn't concussed every other game he'd be their 3rd best WR after Cobb and Monty.  Unless you think WRs that drop 50% of their passes or run poor routes deserve a free pass

Agree with all of that...but the endzone INT...that's not on Janis. Terrible decision by the QB, and to a lesser extent, the guy who called the play

Don't completely disagree Fondy

Why MM called pass plays down there I have no idea.  My gripe on Janis is how often do you see Rodgers make a throw like that unless they aren't on the same page?

Janis has become the modern day Jarrett Bush.  Very good ST player but a marginal talent at his natural position

Steve Tasker was just a gunner.

Janis!'s burst on that KO return was jaw dropping. As I've posted a zillion times he's raw as hell as a receiver but they've got to figure out a way to get the ball in his hands in space.

Janis can make a significant impact as a ST guy.  I think he already has and it's helped the overall group.  He doesn't have to think he can just use his speed and make plays.

His play as a receiver though is mind boggling.   He just hasn't figured out what it takes and he may never get there.  Still, he's got value on special teams and that matters.

Ok- Janis is a project, not the best hands, but is a long strider with deep speed.

So you send him on a slant fire a rifle shot from 8 yds away? That's setting your guy up to help your team succeed? And then Rodgers has him in the ends one, uunder throws the ball by 5 yards, gets picked, and it's Janis' fault??? If you're going to throw that ball get it up in the air, deep, and see if your 6'3" WR can make a play.

The kid has a long way to go, but he's not getting a lot of help either. And #12 is 100% to blame for that pick. Great players make others better. Yet here we are, and talented players are regressing before our eyes. At some point, you tell your MVP QB to start hitting the target.
