Hoffman, Schilling, Clemens and Bonds belong in the hall for their numbers. Bagwell was close, but I agree, no cigar. If I have to differentiate between guys I think should have been caught using steroids from guys who were caught, then I guess I shouldn't have a vote either.

One of only 2 1B (Gehrig) with 12 straight seasons at first with an adjusted OPS of 130 or better. A career adjusted OPS of 149, 36th all time. 1 of only 3 1B with 400 HR and .400 OBP (Gehrig and Foxx). The only 1B with 400 HR and 200 Steals.

It's also very hard for me to argue against Alan Trammell, considering his career is nearly identical to Yount, other than Yount hitting a "magic" number of hits.

I am really curious who didn't vote for Griffey for the HOF. The HOF voters need to get over themselves with the whole thing about no one can be a unanimous selection. They also need to get over the thing about not voting for players because they are specialized like closers. Baseball is much more specialized than it used to be so Hoffman deserves to be in there, Lee Smith if Sutter and Fingers are in there, and Edgar Martinez even though he was primarily a DH needs to be in there. As for Bagwell I think he deserves it but wasn't he suspected of PED use? maybe that is why he isn't in there now?
