Deep on first down is a damn drive killer..

Mike McCarthy just can't get out of his own way.

The first quarter of the game, the play calling was excellent. They were converting on third down, keeping the chains moving. Now....inexplicably, we have no rhythm again. None.

Going for the home run ball is something you do when the offense is in sync. When you're able to catch them off guard. You do it when the passing game is efficient, and the run game is working. When you're completing 46% of your passes, you don't throw it all the way down field.

Just move the damned chains, offense. Touchdowns count the same way on the scoreboard when you take 15 plays to get one.
